I need to change the 3rd valve cover on my supra (7m), and today I was just fooling around with the engine and noticed a hole in a screw. Its the screw that are in between the 2 valve covers. The 4 that are with the sparkplugs that you can see. Anyways the screw thats closest to the firewall...

I personally think, valves noise sound like clicking pens, just sometimes a little louder. (my valves make noise too) Rod knock sounds like somebody knocking on a counter top. At least thats what i think it sounds like.

There is no other way for oil to get to the spark plug valley unless its through the valve cover gaskets. Thats the highest point in the engine that oil reaches. Correct me if Im wrong anybody.
