Blendzall... MMT... or Nitromethane additives???:evil2:
...heh heh heh...
btw... I have straight pipe... and yes, it's a little smelly.:nono:
(I'm wanting "stealth"... so the HKS Drager it is...:naughty: )

I don't want to jump to a conclusion... (could be several things...) but mine was doing it on decel... and at startup, until warm... and deteriorated over a few weeks. Ruled out most other stuff... and yup, it appears to have been the turbo oil seals... probably on the rear exducer side...
Thanks for clearing that up! I didn't know for sure, as the OTHER one never had "white" coloration.
Is it indicative of a "lean" mixture? (Or inherent to some other factor...)
Appreciate any technical insights... I started with this thing over a dozen years ago... and until I joined here...
^^^ This is the one I HAD on it about a decade ago... I "MIS-DIAGNOSED" it to be "faulty", and swapped it with an IDENTICAL (mostly... except intake machine work...) H3 from TEC... and then found the GASKET on the EX MANI side was "bleeding through", causing the funny...
Okay, so I did the "search" for a couple weeks... and observed the condition known as "blow turbo oil seals"... (rear seals... seeing as how the load on decel at vacuum would net the max white/bluish-tint smoke cloud...)
I believe mine were JUST starting to go... as it SAT for five years...
^^^ MAN! I need to put FRESH LENSES on my tailights as well... those look SO MUCH BETTER than old "faded" lenses!
On a side note... if I were working under one of those little awnings... IT WOULD BLOW AWAY with the windy days we've had on occassion!
...keep the nice progress pics...
^^^ That's where the rims CAME from, and what is on the Solara now...
I MAY put the OZ's from the 'lara on the soop later on...:biglaugh:
We'll see...

Center rear antenna is for my CB hookup. (Used to do ALOT of highway interstate travel with this car... and I liked to "keep informed"...) The right/front corner antenna is for a Beartracker Scanner unit that picks up HP "REPEATER" unit signals when an officer "keyes his mic"... gives me a 3...
Yeah... I know what you mean! I've had the thing for over a dozen years now... and it came "set up" with the full HKS TEMS suspension "system"... so the "mild" 1 1/4" drop has been "IT" up until now. (The suspension works so well... I hate to mess it up!)
Hopefully, eventual rim/rubber...

^^^ Had these rims laying around off my '04 Solara... so I tossed them on for an "experiment". Wearing BS Potenza RE960AS PP's in a 235/50/17... intended for the 'lara... after the experiment!:biglaugh:
I kinda like the STOCK TOYOTA rims... little "T-BULL" centers and...

^^^ "BANKAI"
I have never seen "Bleach", but the "Japanese" reference to bankai and it's literal meaning seemed quite fitting for your project!
I'm seeking similar goals... so I'll be...
Low Nm - clicker
High Nm - bar
...easier to overtorque the little guys...
But in reality, I most frequently use the "mechanics-arm-type" torque wrench... lazy, I am.
PS It's easier to control the bar with advanced lubes like ARP's... and requires less torque for equal clamp...
Great narrative... enjoyed the read, James!
...hmmmm.... I suspect the 60-70 range demographic represents more than HALF of the owners of such caliber of vehicle... by virtue of economics alone!
Then there is the SUPRA for the rest of us!

^^^ ...after all that dialogue... I got so captivated by the wit... I FORGOT WHO'S THREAD IT WAS!
heh heh heh... HURRY UP and post some more progress pics!:boink:
J/K!
