GOOD QUESTION! ANSWER: The EVC IS the PRIMARY boost controller, and the SBC is an "integrated override" unit that works in UNISON with the EVC but has "authority" over it with "special powers" that allow it to "superceed" the otherwise MUNDANE and less "spectacular" functions it...

HA HA! Yes! Very true... but I was probably tinkering with this thing before such equipment existed! Remember, I've had the supra for over a dozen years, and the EVC, PFC-FCON, HKS FMIC, and two 10lb. bottles of NOS thru a fogger nozzle were already ON it when I picked it up... (AFTER it sat...

^^^ Here's the current "stack"... (sorry, fuzzy photo and DUSTY at the moment...) Everything is just "stuck" in the console at the moment... but I'll get it all "buttoned up" soon enough! NOT pictured HKS components are: FCD, PFC-FCON, and TEMS controller. Planned are: IPM at the...

^^^ Thanks guys! Yeah, I'm looking at the "TOWER OF HKS" if I stack them all in a central column in the car... which is what I'm doing for "dry-fit" experimentation at the moment... Maybe I'll go outside and snap a "rough state" shot for a visual. PS: I'm in a RACE to see who ends up...

NAW!!! Welcome BACK to the FUTURE! (Geeze, I wonder if the SBC was inspired by the Flux Capacitor?:biglaugh: ) ...either that of the Millenium Falcon, I'd suspect... -crisp

YES! The GCC allows for "trim" adjustment of your air/fuel ratio at FIVE preset RPM points, which can also can be VARIED to RPM points that YOU select via DIP switches in the back of the unit for tremendous flexibility. The adjustment allows for -12% to +16% over/under "baseline" fuel...

The HKS Drager Exhaust is in the BIG box...:naughty: I have already looked at it... but it won't be installed until this Saturday. (The GCC-Graphic Control Computer and SBC-Scramble Boost Controller are already IN!:biglaugh: ...along with the SSBV, which all work GREAT with the EVC, VPC...

Mine is not a sticker. The little label is behind the clear dash pod shield, and it looks VERY much to be OEM... hmmmm... I didn't realize it was not "normal". I'll try to post a good close-up of it sometime later. -crisp

YES! The complete system package... circa EARLY 1990's...:biglaugh: ...came on the car... too long a story to divulge today... but SOMEDAY, I'll tell the entire tale in my "build" thread, if I ever get to it! (Stuff about REPO-CAR and NOS and PINK SLIPS and remote switches to shut of...

Warning label is IN the dashpod trimplate as "OEM" as far as I know... car has an interesting history, starting out as a CA car... and ultimately, purchased by me with only 22k miles on it.:biglaugh: I'm pretty sure it came that way from factory... -crisp

I DO like the 5 spoke look very much! It is nice and clean and "subtle" looking... well in keeping with my "SLEEPER" look!:biglaugh: The OZ Nova's are 40 offset, the SAME as the 'lara 5-spoke. (Supra is 37?) I used 8mm spacers w/the 5-spoke, partly because they were only 7" wide...

Thank you for the steps... (especially the BEER!:biglaugh: ) How about "SEALER"? I have never used it, but recall a comment earlier about it... sounds like a good idea, as my "clay bar" results have "diminished" after a couple weeks and some weather. (STILL looks GOOD though... but I suspect...

    Fuel Cut Defence

Ahhhh... I have seen the comments about this "J-tube" often... but your explanation is the most clear so far. Yes, I do believe sticking with the HKS theme over the years has helped me keep my car running well. (Except for the "short" that had me "down" for over five years!) I will continue...

    Fuel Cut Defence

hmmmm... good points. I ALSO have to upgrade a PROM along with the addition of my 550's. My PFC-FCON is already "chipped" to handle it, but the VPC (Vein Pressure Converter) that communicates with it is not "balanced" to the 550's without a chip change. Once again, "BALANCE"...

    Fuel Cut Defence

Just another note... having used my HKS setup for over a DOZEN years now... with NO ISSUES WHATSOEVER related to air/fuel... my car starts, idles, and pulls cleanly thru the entire rev range, and has accommodated various "staged" (read: balanced) upgrades throughout it's life. Next week, my...
