Not car related so much, but can I let out aWOOT!!!!!
I just got word that I am going to be a Mailman. It will pay better than anything I have ever had, but they can only tell me (not even guaranty) that I will get 20 hours a week. I'm assuming that is until they see if I will work out or...
Thank you very much for the new direction!!
That has not been covered yet, but I have at least checked the fuse and checked that the ground wire had good connection. I'm leaving the house in just a minute, but I will hopefully be checking the rest tonight.
Welcome!
Go ahead and put a Walbro in the tank while you have it out. You are going to want to turn up the boost soon after you get it running, and you will need it then. You don't want to drop the tank again.
Any prospects on a sale yet? I can't say I'm upset that you are stuck with it. Hopefully you will figure out the impossible.
And, have you started a build on the SC? Or, do we just get updates here?
I've never once read where you had to swap the rear end during a 5-speed swap, so I wouldn't think yo would. The driveshafts are different lengths, due to the length of the tranny. So, I would think you need to keep the driveshaft with the tranny you are going to use.
There is a new one for sale in the for sale section, but his price is really high. I think people have him ready to take offers though. It is for an 89.
Hopefully tomorrow I can get back to work on mine. It's been way too cold for for us in Bama for a couple of weeks now. It's warmed up nice...
The reason for the harness swap is because of the body plugs in the dash. You should have the correct motor mounts already in your 91. It's really not a hard swap at all.
Offer 15K, and see what the response is! There is no limit to how many offers you may give a seller.
Buy it at whatever price you agree on. 18K is not bad if you go into it with a plan. Swap the TT and 6-speed to the N/A. Then, part out the rest of the TT car, and all of the parts you remove...
Where do I see these? I see no pic in the post, and searched Supra on your site and didn't find them.
***Edit***The refresh I got after posting shows the pictures. VERY Nice!
Nice Truck!
Be glad that it is low mileage though. I used to manage a group of 10 drivers/trucks. Like clockwork, the 95's all needed a rear end somewhere between 160-180K miles. So, you'll get a good bit of use out of it before that.
