Coil Pack Feeler Thread of sorts...

Yep. He...he... :) The only real cost is in the coils themselves. There are a handful of options out there. I went the MK4 VVTI route and paid $150 for mine. While a kit is a good idea, that's not what I'm doing. My application mainly relates to the 'Already Converted'. ;)

    Factory 7MGTE ignition timing figures?

^This is the latest data. I can tell you from experience that the ECU adds approximately 11* at around 5200 rpm's regardless of boost level.

    CXRacing Coilovers

My point exactly. ;) I should've been more clear though. I meant that no one locally can rebuild them. I would hope that Megan Racing would be able to service a product that they put their name on. :)

    CXRacing Coilovers

Bummer. One thing to look for when shopping for coilovers is whether or not they're rebuildable. Zankoku's were built with standard valving so they can be rebuilt at your local motorcycle repair shop. Last I heard, most or all Megan's are NOT rebuildable.

Have you ditched the stock coil pack? If so, I'd like to know about it. I am just looking for a head count. If the count is high enough, I'll consider moving forward with my idea. Thanks! -Kenny

    CXRacing Coilovers

I don't have a lot of experience with coilovers; but, I do have a set of Zankoku's on my car. I ran into the same problem with the fronts; but, mine have a bit more adjustment than yours, it seems. My guess is that, to a degree, this is the general nature of coilovers. With mine, my concern...

Yeah, I try to be conservative with my estimations because of the stock 162k bore. We'll see how that holds up. I did catch that post. Good read bruthuh...good read! :) I'm not sure my old engine would hold up to race gas and 29psi of boost! :aigo:

Whatever this setup gives reliably/safely. I'm not chasing a number per say; but, I'd like to see ~480 whp with the water/meth.

I am slacking. Lol... That dyno session was an on and off deal. One pull only. No adapter necessary for the ID's. I have the MK4 VVTI Coils so the DH61 will complete the ignition system and solve the known compatibility issues with the AEM. I may switch to the 1ZZ's in the future though.

Not yet. I've been amassing parts. Thus far I have ID 1000's, a DH61 Igniter, and........hey! That's all I need! Well....except for time to install it. ;)
