Right now I'm alternating between the Supra and my GMC Sierra. I'm enjoying the Supra so much I'm pretty much driving it everywhere I go, and it's getting much better gas mileage than the truck. I do however get truck withdrawals and drive it for a couple of days.
I have no idea what that buzzing could be but it sounds like the engine is toast!
It sounds like it jumped timing really bad, and if so probably bent some valves and ruined the pistons. It's just free spinning.

Your car is old so don't be surprised if they try to write it off. The damage looks minimal but it's yet to be seen what got f-ed up in places you can't see.
