the timing is fixed its just having a problem of not going past 4,000 when i accelerate fast.. i mean its not a problem im not trying to race it but i just wanna know why its doing this..

its suppose to stop at 4,000?

UPDate fixed the timing lol.... :) idle and drives good still has a problem, when i accelerate hard it only goes up to 4,000 rpms but i think its the tranny it shifts right away when i let off.... :(

the exhaust manifold is glowing as well...i reset the timing on the ignition last week,

ive already done this last week because i thought it was timing too glowing red would be a clogged cat also the exhaust is un-normal like louder than it should and i noticed today black shit and smoke.. coming out my cat now that i hit it tryin to break shit up in it..

that would cause my headers to turn red?

i think it might be that the exhaust is clogged... idk... like the cat.. headers are glowing red and i hit the cat with a hammer some shit fell out smoking ,,, let me know guys

well i was kinda asking if the fuel smell like a leak would have any kind of result in why the rpms wont go up is what i mean. sorry ;) where should i look first with the fuel leak.... ive already looked at the injectors so thats 1 and ive already been by the tank nothing dripping...

IN STALLED THE fuel filter same problem ... i was reading up on another forum someone took out the fuel pump and cleaned the filter it has on it... the syptomons where almost the same so i guess ima have to dropp the tank... idk what do you guys think... i wish i had a fuel pressure reader..

idk if thats gonna fix the problem but but im more worried about the rpms not going up to where they should be lol but ya thxs for the help ill check it out.

well as far as what ...lol im as clueless i tried a new coil ignitoir that didnt work... ummm its idlein rough when it first starts im smellin gas too what side is the fuel line on?

whats the symptoms of a dirty fuel filter my car will rev really slow in park to about 3,000 rpms ... and drive even more shitter

or the egr valve might be broken or clogged.... idk let me know what you guys think?

would a coil pack do this i do see oil in the distributer as well..

alright so im doing the struts on my supra and i noticed when i went to go pick up the new ones they have no plate to hold the spring so i guess my question is does the plate that holds it come off or what?

its broken off, i talked to a guy tonight about the problem he said its my tranny but when im in park the car wont go over 4500 so i dont know...

also there is a vacuum line off on the thermostat but would that cause all that?

and what would that be and where is it? lol

alright so when i punch it the car seems fine till 4,000 rpms then it seems as if it has a governor on it, i dont know for sure yet but if i casually drive it, it will shift to all gears. i dont know really how to describe but hopefully i can find some kind of answer i have no idea about...

i live in saint pete florida, kinda new to supras.. but is there anyone in tampa or close to saint pete?
