time to swap out to 1jz

Won't make a lick of difference if his idea of diagnostics is hitting delicate parts with a hammer. :3d_frown:

OP, you get any error codes when you set the jumper to do the timing? You DID jumper TE and E1 when you did the timing, right? Timing is the most likely reason for the hot manifold... you're running WAY retarded. After you get this fixed you should do a compression test... you may have damaged something else while going through all of this.

ciao!

UPDate fixed the timing lol.... :) idle and drives good still has a problem, when i accelerate hard it only goes up to 4,000 rpms but i think its the tranny it shifts right away when i let off.... :(

If you're transmission isn't shifting until 5-6k RPMs then you got a problem, I think it'd be like code 61 or something along those lines. It's the lock up solenoid that's the problem, but if it shifts fine with normal driving don't worry about it shifting at higher RPMs, it's normal when you give more gas and keep it there.

That was my next question, seems a lot of people forget about the jumper wire.

If your timing is retarded that far to fire up the manifold it may not go past 4k, if you keep running it that way you'll have more to worry about then what you have now:)

CRE, nice to see you;)

the timing is fixed its just having a problem of not going past 4,000 when i accelerate fast.. i mean its not a problem im not trying to race it but i just wanna know why its doing this..

Oh, I'm just passing through...
It's always nice to see you around too. You have my number too; feel free to use it more often. ;)
