We need a bit more details to diagnose the problem better, i just replaced the fuel filter in a blazer and it was experiencing problems "similar" to what you described. The fuel filter was the problem area.

The fuel lines are on the drivers side, the main feed is near the motor mount. I would also check the fuel pump relay, its on the passenger side wheel well, pull the yellow plug apart and plug it back in.

You need to worry about the fuel leaking somewere that you said you smell before you worry about why it won't rev.:3d_frown:

well i was kinda asking if the fuel smell like a leak would have any kind of result in why the rpms wont go up is what i mean.

sorry ;)

where should i look first with the fuel leak....

ive already looked at the injectors so thats 1 and ive already been by the tank nothing dripping there... so the line?

its hard to see anywhere else since the car has a pretty decent power steering leak as well... :(

let me know what you guys think....

another thing would low fuel pressure cause the car to do this

also my idle is shitty as hell when it first starts out then after a couple mins of warming up it goes to 800-900 rpms

and my exhaust sounds really loud too....

check the timing and make sure the timing belt did not jump. glowing red exhaust is a timing issue. try moving the distributor also it won't fix it completely because your adjustment is limited but it may give you an idea of where to look.

ive already done this last week because i thought it was timing too

glowing red would be a clogged cat also
the exhaust is un-normal like louder than it should and i noticed today black shit and smoke.. coming out my cat now that i hit it tryin to break shit up in it..

You ought to be able to feel at the tailpipe if you are getting flow thru the cat.

I think you would really have to have timing off to get the header to glow read.

Stock header or tube type?

Have you checked the timing with a light and the jumper wire?
