Definitely DON'T use the GLUE!:nono: As far as kits... they may be a little pricey, but ANY job under a Ben Franklin on a supra is a bargain.;) Whatever you choose to do, I HIGHLY recommend FRESH nuts (and STUDS if possible) and make SURE you use a liberal amount of ANTI-SEIZE on the stud...

    Is the 7m-gte a non-interference engine?

More important than a "timing belt kit" is the consideration you give to "other" maintenance when you do the timing belt change. I would highly recommend considering the water pump (try to get an oem Toyota --> AISIN pump... no remans or "knock-offs") and do the idler pulley (belt tensioner)...

YOUR Supra... Is it FUN to DRIVE?

Firstly, ERA... if you came up with that just for this post, then I hope you are getting paid for your writ SOMEHOW.;) ...to everyone else, it's GREAT to hear the many ways we convey our pleasure with these cars! The Supra is clearly an extraordinary automobile, and affords we owners...

YOUR Supra... Is it FUN to DRIVE?

As we slip down into the well-suited-torso-cradling-bolster-rich-depressed-perch fabric or natural hide seating embrace of our cockpit havens of motordom-mark-three... and are greeted by the familiar "beep, beep, beep, beep, beep..." of the door-ajar warning beacon as we insert the key and...

This is why you don't use AU green coolant in your 7M

http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51166 ^^^ MY waterpump swap!;) (Well... ONE of them, anyway!) I show some pics in there of the AISIN pump, and discuss impellers, etc... ALSO! ...here are a couple of my CURRENT T-stat neck condition, and my opinion of TOYOTA...

    Is the 7m-gte a non-interference engine?

In my MKII MANY MANY years ago, I was ripping through fourth gear to redline, and JUST AS I went to shift into fifth, the belt SNAPPED! I had no idea what went wrong at the time, but to SEE the tach FALL to ZERO almost instantly and the car coasting down from around a buck and change, it...

This is consistent with most dynamic system performance evaluations for DV (Design Validation) and PV (Product Validation) testing going into manufacture. Specifications for performance and relative Marketability Test Specifications are all directed toward a specific "design position" test...

Hot Weather Run... BETTER ANGLE NOW!

Yeah, front lifts hard, and rear is squatting pretty good after all these years under launch, but TRACTION control of the kit works really well, and ride "suspend" quality, both pre-load and damping are quite good, so I'm really happy with it.;) I had the TOKIKO/Suspension Techniques setup on...

...not to identify with the guy ^^^ that MIGHT be coming ACROSS as a dick (even though he wants to avoid it... as do I...:naughty:) but the SUSPENSION VARIABLE weighs heavily in my mind in this whole equation as well.:1zhelp: I see proportional control of pressure as logical in the vacuum...

Late '80s original HKS EAC-T (with TEMS Suspension System - p/n 8630xx-11026L) LOL!:biglaugh: I still have the original HKS (Performance/Competition Products) Product documentation that came with it! Even provides the installation camber/caster/toe-in for front/rear setup.;) It was on the...

Hot Weather Run... BETTER ANGLE NOW!

Here's the LATEST view! (Bogged the launch trying to "nurse it", especially on the COURSE pavement in this spot!) I like this angle! Gets the metrics well, very central, and exposure is ALMOST workable! (Need some more light on the dials in the tree-line!) What do you guys...

My bad. Meant to indicate I agree/"sense" the need for a LOT of braking (as I mis-stated "pads" --> meaning "brake force") on the rear to "balance" and maximize the stopping effectiveness of these cars... mine STOPS/SLOWS okay with the Wilwood's, (surprisingly well!) but would greatly benefit...

Interesting topic, guys! I can't add any "expertise", but as I mentioned in another post of mine, with Andy's (ARZ) 4-pot Wilwood kit on FRONT ONLY (rear are LAME-O STOCKIES! ...for now...) I have found that the front braking is stellar, and the rear seams to "push" onto the front pads...
