UPDATE! Well, now that the car is back from body and paint (had a bunged up tail end... and buckled rear-left quarter... but it's GOOD NOW!:biglaugh:) ...I need to address the BRAKE ISSUE that I left unattended when I SHOULD have been ordering parts! Started to DRAG pretty bad RIGHT...

:aigo:WOW! Turned the nuts with a lathe! I was stumped at first too... and then realized there was clearance to put the tapered 12 point nuts on if the head was still "suspended" about 1/2" above the deck... then after hand starting the nuts... I lowered it the rest of the way! Always...

Take your time. Read what is said in here carefully and completely. Follow the well-placed advice that borders on "conservative" but likely CORRECT in here. (i.e.: Suggesting a better MHG, etc... imho) and ask for help if things get hairy! Also, along with the 12 point thin-walled...

Along the lines of jetjock... although your remark that you have no EGR CIRCUIT makes me wonder... do you mean NO EGR PLUMBING? Left-side EGR pipe passes UNDER the main harness... if that CLIP that holds the harness fails or has become disconnected... the harness can "settle" down near or onto...
