They just pop right on, nothing special, infact they're annoying because you forget they're on and you try to put your roof on, then you have to put it back in the trunk or set it on the ground while you take the caps off and try again..
The taillight failure box has nothing to do with pre 89 or 89+ taillights, the box color depends on the 3rd brake light and they're all plug and play..
now the real issue can be a socket has corrosion on it, or bearly making contact, as you do have to swap over the 89+ bulb holders. Please...

the consensus is it isnt worth it because a correctly sized single can spool faster and make more power than twins can with less IC plumbing...
