I have always just LOVED this car, but often forget about it. It's good to see the every now and then pictorial. From this one, I have a couple of comments. I really like the CF cluster cover, but I'm not a fan of hood pins.
So, I got to drive the car a little bit today. I connected the battery, and heard the fuel pump fire off. I grabbed my keys and had put them in the ignition, and just before turning, I remembered I had no throttle body on it. After installing my old bad throttle body (not the bad replacement I...
I don't think it could hurt anything to break open a cam cover and check the torque on a couple of them. If they aren't where you want them, torque them properly. I suspect they'll be fine, but would be interested to see if they weren't.
Welcome James! We have an Alabama members thread in the southeast section. I just posted in it, so it should be in a new posts search, but I'll add a link to it in a little bit.
Damn Chuck! Were you just parked beside the garage? And where was the Celica? This sickens me to see. How's the Bomex? The interior, motor? Is that another 7M in front of that pressure plate I see in there? Post a list of what all you need, if I have any, it's yours for shipping (unemployment...
So, I guess I haven't mentioned in here that the postal job didn't work out. I wasn't given the 3 weeks to run the complete route that they told me it would take to be able to finish without help, so they "cut their losses" at 2 1/2 weeks, just as I got to the point that I could do it...
Problem figured out. Either my Walbro is dead, or a wiring connection has come apart. I'm getting 12-Volts out of the relay, and towards the pump at least as far a the connection at the stock wiring above the access panel. I can only get to one side of the butt connector without dropping the...
+ Eleventy Billion!
I thought FF just adapted your IE, and brought all of your favorites with it. It may still have them when you are through, or deleting your current IE may screw up your FF if it is dependent on the IE (IDK). Besides, they are your favorites, at worst you'll have to type...
It is not easy to get it into the stock accordion, but it will go in. If yours is old a brittle, be prepared to replace it. A new one from the dealer is only $40-50.
Why would you doubt it was the COR? Did you read what I wrote about testing it last night? The light blip I get when checking for continuity between B and FC just doesn't seem good to me. I am borrowing one for testing tomorrow from a local down car.
BTW...I see no difference in the link you...
I can't remember what all it kills, but not having your emergency flasher switch plugged in does a lot of this. It's the easiest possible fix as well. Check that first. A shop forgetting to plug up a plug wouldn't surprise me.
Thanks for the help crazy! BUT.......
However, I did find this:
http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=FI&P=110
Now, while testing continuity between STA and E1, I get a constant continuity. But while looking for it between B and FC, I only get a very faint...
OK, so I'm fooling around with the car again. I have the COR pulled and brought into the house with the multimeter. i did a search on how to test it, and only found this link
http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Librar...px?S=Main&P=22
telling me where to find it (too late). I have also...
Be careful removing the surround. The threaded screw receiver ends tend to crack.
BTW, they are sometimes hard to move. Apply a little force in both directions, there's no telling what position you are in. It may be all the way out or in.
