For some reason that just seems very odd to me. You must've either really screwed up the valves or something is still not lined up. Seriously, double check to make sure your cam gears are on correctly. When you put them on was there a dowel pin there to line them up correctly?
T, if you're able to check SM during your trip, hope it's all going well. When you swing through North Texas you'll go right through my town of Weatherford. It's about 30 miles west of Fort Worth on I-20. For some reason though, I have a feeling you're meeting someone in the DFW area, but...
Valve covers, cps, powersteering, oil sending unit. Lot's of places for it to leak. If the CPS has never been out I promise you that o-ring is no good and will come off in pieces.
I had a bhg, had the head machined and used an OEM gasket, ARP bolts and torqued accordingly. That was 10k miles ago and I'm daily driving it. Did I do it right or did I just half ass it? If so when WILL it blow again? :sarcasm:
It WILL fit don't worry. Just so you don't get freaked out, the pipe, turbo, and intercooler will not meet up metal to metal. You'll have about 1/2 inch space between them. Just adjust the couplers accordingly.

Good luck!

When getting parts for my 86.5 I NEVER told them 86 because they would ALWAYS give me MKII parts. When at the parts counter, my car was an "87" model.;)
I've got one on my 91 turbo and I have no fit issues. I don't what they hell yall are talking about. I had one on my 86.5 also with no issues. Beats the hell out of that two sections of "soft" hoses.
I did it. I don't have the car anymore but if you got a question feel free to ask me. I did a stock swap by the way. I used an 87 turbo car as the donor. It's all plug and play and all chasis's have pre-existing bolt holes. Very easy.
The beautiful thing about our cars when it comes to converting from NA to turbo is that it's all plug and play. Find you a turbo LSD, either 3:91 or 3:73, and it'll bolt right up with with no modifications. The only thing is that it is heavy and slightly labor intensive but overall a very easy...
