Thanks, Alex! I'd LOVE to come drive in some more... well... INTERESTING roads!:biglaugh: In that I'm not so much a "number hunter", I'm really finding I am MOSTLY satisfied with the car right now... just a LITTLE BIT more power for those, er... "special" occasions would be nice.;) Thanks...

Thanks! Disappointing I didn't at LEAST crack the 400 number today, but the heat-soak made it a mute point after the first pull, so we called it a day. I've done all my own "road tuning". The car is a different animal, but the "feel" is similar to what I've been doing on motorcycles (both...

Actually got a couple more hp and tq on one of the pulls... but it's really a mute point. Results that were printed above: 394HP 366TQ mid 11's afrs (almost flat) @17.6psi actual on 93 pump gas in 85* (and rising) on humid day. That's about right for my modestly dialed HKS alphabet soup on...

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Yeah, I REALLY wanted to have him load that assembly on a pallet and QUANTAS AIR it to my front door! Heck, I'm happy with the parts I got, and I still have some to bolt up eventually!:biglaugh: How's your temperature's in MN right about now? Are you "IN" the HEAT DOME like the rest of us...

You're welcome! Seriously, the more I think about it, your numbers would be squarely into and exceeding anything I ever intended for my car! (Also being a 67mm makes this really interesting... of course, I am strictly piggy-backing with the alphabet!:yikes:) I'm actually "super secretly"...

Spartan living, or, "How to budget for a Supra project"

I'm going to give this a BUMP for the month. The original post was really well articulated, and excellent advice for ALL... (not that everyone HAS to follow it, as there are those who can simply do what they please, but often TIME can then be the higher price, etc... BTW, that's not me, I have...

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

I'm thinking those rotors are not the "likely" culprit for some "shimmy" up front... but I'm curious. I have a LITTLE shimmy but I'm pretty sure I didn't have my shop adequately clean under the hats first, so any minor contaminant or non-flush seating MIGHT have left a little run-out variance...

Good progress! Looking forward to what YOUR 67mm puts out with that setup! I can believe the "car is becoming silly..." when up and into the 20psi range! Can't WAIT to actually push that pressure on mine one of these days... heck, I think 18psi gets silly!:biglaugh: -crisp

Anyone "shave" the front nose emblem? Or paint the 90-92 emblem?

^^^ Also, no antennae through wing. Both body and wing filled when painted. (Maybe I'll find a pic around of the wing/antennae area later... but it looks MUCH better imho.) NOTE: Mine is an '89... -crisp

These 4 big-a** bolts on top of head. Wat are they?

I replaced the "#3 Cylinder Head Cover" (that strip in the middle) AND the sealing bolts (I ordered NEW from Toyota, and I THINK they already had "patch" or "seal" on them, possibly 3-bond MEC (Micro EnCapsulation) which is like Lock-tite... but better.) More likely than not, that oil down in...

Who's liable for the damage caused?

So, is there a particular habit that is most suited considering these interesting technical insights? I would suppose as noted there is variation based on application and such... but let's say specific to our high-output turbo-charged Supra platform. I try to read all I can on oil... and in...

Who's liable for the damage caused?

Ahhh... I understand your "reasoning" a little better then. I'll still side with some other comments in here but TRY to be "diplomatic" as well!;) On the note of DM (Aaron) service, I've actually had EXCEPTIONAL service from them in all my dealings, so you are on your own relative "empathy"...
