Don't knock Kia, they actually put out a pretty good sports sedan (the Stinger GT).

Latest Spy Shots - Cladding Removed

It's become a sad world where I'm more excited about the new Volvo V60 than the new Supra... if that's the final look, I'm not a huge fan. The rear looks good but the front, ugh

The Legend Returns! March 6, 2018

Re: The Legend Returns! There was an article awhile ago that described the Supra as having 4 tiers of performance. Gazoo Racing is tuning it, much like TRD used to. "Supra, Supra GR, Supra GR Sport, and Supra GRMN"

A1Cardone "Rebuilt" Steering Rack - A public service announcement.

I didn't know you could even get a new rack from Toyota anymore. Is that 44250-14110-84?

    7MGTE Oil pressure system.

Yes, that's also a good point. I would hope that if you have a full flow system, you also have an oil pressure gauge with alarm though.

    7MGTE Oil pressure system.

If you hit a rock hard enough to damage something, are you going to keep driving? Or are you going to immediately pull over and check the car? I don't think you're an idiot, so I'll assume that you, like I, would pull over right away. So that negates that one benefit of the stock system. Now if...

The Legend Returns! March 6, 2018

Re: The Legend Returns! BMW straight 6, auto trans. So, no, not really a Supra. It better not have a trunk. If the Z4 can have a manual, there's no reason other than marketing that the Supra can't have it. I'm solidly in the "meh" group. I find the current Toyota line up boring, and I don't...

    7MGTE Oil pressure system.

the lines aren't any more exposed than stock unless you've done a really shitty job installing them. If I hit a rock hard enough to hit the lines I've got, I have much bigger problems than a leaking line or fitting.

High compression high RPM 7M-GE build

I'd switch to a Ford 3G alternator if you can get it working in your vehicle. Simple, cheap (comparably to Toyota specific models), and a huge range of amperage available. Obviously requires custom brackets, but I'm sure you could handle that. This thread has some good discussion about alts...

High compression high RPM 7M-GE build

Care to share details on the power steering pump? What's is it out of and how do you have it wired? I've seen MR2 and Astra pumps used, but the MR2 pumps are getting stupid expensive.

    7MGTE Oil pressure system.

Nashman bought the bits, he's putting his car back together now (slowly), hopefully running by summer. If I remember I'll see what his pressures are at idle and various rpm. Just reading off of a gauge though, no fancy datalogging stuff at this point. I had planned to do the same mods if/when I...

    7MGTE Oil pressure system.

Have you seen sixpacks oil pump drive mod and added pressure spring? There's a whole thread on supraforums about it: http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?1032041-7M-oil-pump-drive-pulley-issues There is also a needle bearing replacement for the stock oil pump drive bearing available...

    What mods first?

imho 1) Intake/Downpipe/Exhaust 2) Boost controller that will give you ~300hp, just up the boost until you hit fuel cut, then back it off slightly then 3) Intercooler and hardpipes - increased effeciency, more power per psi of boost 4) fuel/timing control - det3 currently looks like one of the...

    7MGTE Oil pressure system.

You would need to run a sandwich plate style thermostat, and then a remote filter mount, so no, not really reducing anything.

    7MGTE Oil pressure system.

One of the things I've found frustrating is the number of connections required when remote mounting the filter and adding a thermostat. Luckily there are a few options, Improved Racing...

    Window trim

You can replace them with better ones from parts cars/wreckers, you can strip and repaint yours, or you can remove them and throw them in the trash, and replace them with a modern rubber trim as seen in new cars.

White Package 92 Turbo with 53k Miles Popped up in CO.

I just don't see the value in the MKIII market. You can buy a decent shape car, and do a full strip and restore back to better than original, and still be less than what some people are asking for a "clean" car. And all of those people buying the clean cars, 90% mod them anyways, so it's not...

White Package 92 Turbo with 53k Miles Popped up in CO.

Nope. In this day and age, ignorance is not an excuse. If you don't know what you have, that's on you, not the buyer.

White Package 92 Turbo with 53k Miles Popped up in CO.

Nice car, but I wouldn't dream of getting that price. If it was something rare, like a teal with shadow grey targa manual, then maybe, but a white package with burgandy interior is, well, meh
