I'm surprised no one mentioned the anti-squeal springs.
I put new brembo rotors and porterfield pads all the way around on my car. The anti-squeal springs were long lost. After about 1500 miles, the pads started squeeking. I put up with it for a year. When I replaced my calipers last winter...
Replacing the power steering rack was the best non-upgrade I did to the car. It improved the handling tremendously! But I can't help but believe that lowering our cars puts undo stress on the rack, most likely shortening the life of the rack.
Its never too late to trade that wannabe for the...
C'mon guys, lessee some roadtip pics! Let us know where you went, what kind of issues your sup had, and let us know if you spotted any other sups along the way.
I'll start. We (me, the BF and the Sup) hit Gatlinburg over the weekend. We went up to Cades Cove. Here's a pic at the visitor's...
Well, I've already done the "OMG are you OK?" phone call, but I want to say again George that I am so glad you and your son are Ok.
Here are some pics from when George came up to visit me last summer. Don't believe I have posted these on supramania before:
Painting the trim did not go so well for me. The body shop did clean and prime the trim, but if it gets hit by a rock or scratched, you can see the white primer underneath. My trim was not peeling, so thats why I opted to paint them.
However, I am slowly going around the car and replacing the...
Call around. I just replaced glass in both doors. Prices and availability varied widely. If you don't want to replace the entire hatch (due to color matching), get a used hatch, take it to a glass place and have them move the glass from one hatch to the next. Of course if they break it, its your...
Isn't it amazing the reputation the Supras have though? The Mercedes will never have that reputation regardless of how fast they are...Well, maybe in the year 2015 when they make the movie "Still Fast and Still Furious" and the star drives a Mercedes ;)
Geez, thats cruel! Three hours sanding? By hand?? GET THAT GIRL SOME POWER TOOLS! Personally I have an 18v DeWalt drill with a variety of wire brush tips and a bench vice. Holidays, birthdays, anniversaries are all great opportunities to buy that special someone good quality power tools!!
The CC on our company van ('01 Sienna) is IDENTICAL to the one on my supra. With only very minor differences, the other two stalks look like the supra's as well. Wonder if anyone has been successful wiring newer stalks into a sup. Wiring probably wouldn't be as much of an issue as fixing it to...
Two people are posting with similar issues. If you hear clicking, then its not the alarm. If you don't hear clicking, try locking and unlocking the PS door with the key to reset the alarm.
I looked at that pic again and thought "No, thats Jeff's car!" then I saw the eclipse tucked way in the back ;)
And Scott had a sunroof. Would've loved to have a picture of all the cars with their roofs off - thats what gives them such a unique look!
Let us know what year you will be...
More pics from my Sunday afternoon. My daughter was happy to see her Mommy and her supra:

Yea, I let her drive. Boy, I'm going to regret that. Her comment was "I wanna go fast Mommy. Real fast!"...
I think 23 cars made it to the meet. I believe every single one of them was a targa and every single one of those targa tops stayed in the car! We had one MKIV, no MKIIs. An MKII was spotted in the Kroger parking lot though. Roughly half the cars were from out of state. Back to pics...
There are alot more pics already posted under midwest regional, but I thought I would post my pics here (along with some colorful commentary) for those that haven't kept up with the Indy2k9 thread.
We started Saturday morning gathering at the Kroger parking lot awaiting our fearless leader to...
Cool! Tanya's going cross-country and cursing all the Supras she meets!!
Guys, there's probably some small sacrifice you can give to the Supra gods to get back in their favor..Perhaps a honda civic?!
