I've been wondering about the SC and if it was still GE or GTE yet haha.
My patience gets very thin sometimes and when it does I just have to back away from it for a while. I am looking forward to getting what I want done. I want to road trip in this car bad without white knuckling it the...
No not yet. This transformation will not take place till after the first of the year sometime. I can say it has a nice deep tone and with the resonator it has no drone.
I'm not going to lie. I'm stupid. It spools almost instantaneously. It also keeps spinning for about a minute after you shut the engine off. And just having the bragging rights is pretty damn awesome also but here are my reasons.
First off, with a 57-trim CT26 and the other supporting mods...
Here is a pic from the other day. It was stuck on the ice in my dads front yard. Made a good photo op.
Here is my SC400 out in Monument Valley Arizona.
This is something I'm struggling with daily but I'll have plenty of time to figure it out. Ive had MKIV TT's before on my Lexus. I absolutely love how they look on an SC and MKIII Supra. IF I were to get another set I'd have to have spacers for the front cause I want the front to be flush. My...
Update on this cars goings on. If anyone remembers it haha.
Got some goodies in the mail the other day. All the suspension bushings are about to be replaced. This car is sloppy as hell going down the road. Those aren't the only changes I'll be making.
I want to enjoy cruising in a GT car...
I have a set of Energy Suspension bushings on the way. I'm going to replace every bushing on the suspension. The spherical ones I'll buy new from Toyota. I priced all components from Toyota using Curt at Elmhurst and even with the huge discount he offers it was going to be over $3k. It amazes...
You're right. It's either slammed (ugly and non functional in my opinion) or track. I love the stock ride just wished it didn't sit so high. It'll be after New Years before I can get them replaced so I'll be exploring my options. Going back stock seems to be the way I'm leaning though. I lmao...
Hey that's my old car. Those stripes and decals were dealer options only for the 86.5 model Supra. They were not factory.
BTW that car is in a junkyard now totaled by the owner I sold it to. Sad.
It's Kenneth but friends call me Ken or Kenny.
I currently have some KYB GR2 shocks on it. I bought them right after I got the car home cause it needed shocks...BAD and they were cheap. They were coupled with stock springs until I bought the B&G's.
I will not be re-using them. The right...
I highly suspect bushings in my case. Something tweaked in the chassis is a huge fear though. When it's under heavy boost at slower speeds the torque causes the rear end to sway and it's not because the tires are losing traction either. Hopefully bushings will cure that and the uneven stance...
Sorry to bump this old thread, but after putting B&G springs on my car the driver side rear is lower than the passenger side rear. Was a solution ever found to your problem? I'm going to start replacing every bushing in the suspension on mine and probably going to put my stock springs back on.
So let me update this thread. I did go ahead and buy the B&G springs. At first they looked good on the car and the ride was still pretty good but now all the wheels have a different degree of camber and it's sloppy as hell. I know it's not because of the springs. My car is in need of bushings...
Another pic of Monument Valley. This is my favorite place. It's actually in Utah and Arizona.
What's cool about this picture is that it was taken when it was pitch dark outside. Well, there was a full moon. I had my camera on a tripod and pointed blindly towards my car. The shutter stayed...
Some people think I'm strange but I like to road trip by myself, with no set schedule or itinerary. I just get in my car and take off and go where I feel like when I feel like. I did it before a couple of times with my 98 SC300 (RIP). Other than my drive home from Florida after I bought this...
