Personally I freaking hate the allen head bolts. I managed to strip one (out of the freaking 14 and it happened to be the last one) and that sucked getting it out.
Well in my honest opinion. The stock system works fine. Fuel pressure should be used for monitoring or a cut off switch but in high hp. I would forgo the cut off switch. To use it as a base for kicking the fuel pump into high is asking for trouble.

The Cold Start injectors receives it fuel from the Fuel injector rail. If the CSI was not receiving fuel because of a bad fuel pump, ALL the injectors would not receive fuel ;)
You sure the 7.5 amp fuse in the passenger foot well is not blown? I had a failure in mine where the clutch got fried and was taking the 7.5 amp out. Replaced the clutch and all was well.
