actually, without the reverse polarity of the AC wave form, it is imposible to weld AL with DC. Al oxide takes about 3000f worth of heat unlike the 1800f for AL.
A normal run of the mill waste gate.......Except it has to be of significant size or double up on them. The trick is to open the waste gate from the first turbo at the right "time" to allow the energy to by pass the first turbo to go to the 2nd turbo for purpose of making the turbo spool up...
did you just try to explain to me what absolute pressure and call absolute in relation to atmospheric? REALLY?
First off. learn the proper terminology. Absolute pressure is in relation to the unachievable ZERO Kpa which does not exist, even in the near perfect "space" (10 kpa). When speaking...
A piggy back is not even remotely close to a standalone. Changing what the OEM did is easy. You have somehere to start.
Creating it from scratch, that is a task unto itself. WIring it all in correctly, another labor of love.
All i have to say, you have been warned.
sorry dude.
Have you ever tuned before? What is going to happen (and you can take this to the bank). Is that IF you get the car running right, it won't be "correct". And if you get stumped, basically John Reed will wipe whatever you did and start from scratch rather than try and trouble...
Correct!
I used to drive my car year round until 2001.
South Dakota, Black Hill snow! Snow tires. The supra actuall drove nicely! Right tires and the car will run ok. :)
OEM 7m pulley + at least 17 years of time pssing by equals a pulley that did HAVE rubber at one point, now it is solid as the metal itself or in other words, no damping qualities, AT ALL.
ATI pulley..... The only pulley that is damped that is not OEM. Meets SFI Spec for drag racing purposes.
an engine is an air pump. The EMS that controls it is irrelvant as long as it is able to control the "air pump" correctly.
That means 4, 6, 8 or 12 cylinders. Does not matter. Every car has a EMS that everyone goes to because of reason X. Does not mean it can not run with OTHER EMS to include...
it is simple. You use energy to make turbo 1 spin up = less energy available to turbo #2. Adding the "quick spool" valve is adding even more complexity to a complex system.
nice try but nope.
The math just does not add up.
So either you misred, he misread. Or someone is fibbing.
Using the compressor map of the GT35r (which is publicly available through Honeywell/Garrett). With some quick math. Assuming a 100% VE throughout the engines RPM for that...
just because you compound the turbos does not mean they become more efficent.
A gt35r on a 2.7L car. I doubt that he acheived even 15 psi by that RPM.
Again,
physics is infallible. That means that this setup does not throw physics out the door and make it work better.
ENTROPY.
Learn...
let me make it as simple as possible
think of it this way, imagine the stock ct26 in that system. Good spool down low, good to about 14 psi. Comes online pretty quick. That would be the first turbo.
We know that the ct26 will NOT make 20 psi on our 7m and that it really chokes when it starts...
