no i didn't i just did the TSRM specs but I was going to go more then 90 but it felt like I was going to take the top off the bolts so I stoped before it got to that point.
I just bought 92 enclosures and put 6 1/2 " speakers in, no base since they are not amplified by anything other then the deck but good enough for me.
Just need to get a sub back in the car and all set... a Kicker 8" square sub will do the trick.
oh whats up tom, yeah man could use the help!!
adam, i agree with you but it's failed so many times it's pissing me off the 35/90 has caused me to wonder because every time I was doing that on the bolts it felt like I was going to break them right off in the crank.
forntierguy, agreed, I've reused bolts on my 7m, 1jz with out problems.. Never EVER EVER had this problem before!
I was scared to torque the flywheel bolts that I got form toyota down because they are auto flexplate bolts and not the correct flywheel bolts that came with my 1jz.
I'm tired of...
take a pic of the bar.. Make sure you don't keep the nuts on the strut towers and you pull them off and then bolt it down. I've seen people keep the nuts there put the strut tower on and then put another set of nuts to hold the strut tower causing the tower to be up 2-5 MM higher then it has to...
The only thing that really has me worried is the last set of bolts that titian sent where not what I got when I had the 1jz they where the Auto flexplate style bolts but I figured what the hell they must work..
I'm going to give Arp's a try and I'm going to order the plate form drift motion...
wasn't there a thing from marlin to convert electrical to mechanical or was it the other way around? for the speedo.
So basically with the AR5 you don't get a speedo, you get smoother shifts, but require a diff DS.
Can you just take the cone setup out of the AR5 and rebulid the R154 with...
Cy i was thinking the same thing, I park the car as soon as I notice it's loose
I'm using stock 87 mounts... Infact on my 1jz on the first set of bolts, i had no problems and they where solid mounts!
thanks raven, i'm using OEM...2 sets now... I've been torquing to factory specs then i tried a little more but it felt like the bolts where stretching so I didn't go anymore...
I don't have time to wait for the plate... since when did that plate come on the flywheels? it wasn't on my 1jz?
how...
thanks or the answers, does that plate really work? I've never seen it? My 1jz never had the PP back off, the 2jz I had was an auto before.... I don't know about the safety wire... I always catch the flywheel as soon as it's loose because I hear it dangling at idle back and forth.
It's really...
Ok guys I've had it and I'm stumped....
I've had my flywheel bolts back out 5 times now. First time I though I didn't locktite and make them tight enough. No prob second time I use plenty of red locktite, and torque them 35 and 90" as per the 2jz mk4 manual (it's a 2jz-mk3 with 1jz flywheel)...
Cams... Did you ever look at my cam gb dyno,, look at the tq on the and how it falls off after 6k. then look at the 264 and look how little it falls. 140 HP more then the stocks at 7800 RPM.
Stock cams only really breath to 6500 like the stock Redline of the 2jz.
Adding cams to that...
