Well I have no heatshield, its SCH10 piping rubbing the rack lol. The downpipe... I relocated the mount stand to the passenger side a few inches (basically as far as it can go) and made a new mount to go to that location. It pitches the mount over more so its not in the way at all. No pics...
It "just" rubs... raising the engine a tiny bit on both sides, maybe it will clear, if not I will add in another U-joint to make it clear the manifold.
Im going to make the alternator on a manual adjustment... so just the crank and the alternator will have a belt, nothing else will. Just gotta measure for the correct belt still.
Yes! thanks again!
So I finished (hopefully) the passenger side. I have it incorporating the T4 flange on it (not welded yet). Plenty of good spots to add bracing to support the turbo. Hopefully it will be fully welded soon :).
Started on the passenger side manifold again.... Made some progress, so now it feels like the car has progressed forward! YES!
It clears the motor mount barely and it should allow me to notched the frame for the 4" DP. Sweet.
Okay you would think more has progressed over the last month... but you would be wrong. Been working on getting the SC in shape (bushings, sway bars, and countless issues)... And then its been a downward spiral on the Supra as well....
I started on the passenger side manifold and after...
lol easier said than done. I didnt have the intention of painting this car anytime soon.. How about some 240z fender flares or something... saw it on a black supra and it looked alright.
Yeah its like pissing in the wind I noticed... saw some S chassis with some fat tires and thought the Supra could do it on the stock body... but not as easy.
Are those fenders pulled? What is your rear wheel offset? I was looking at 17x10 +20 with a 315/35/17... Wondering if those Godfather over fenders would do the trick.. or no.
Ill get you some more pics soon :)
Nothing for now, plenty of people are in high 400's without touching the engine... Going to use this 95 engine for now, when it/if goes swap in a 92-94 engine, and work on building the 95. But for now I dont forsee myself spending thousands to get a single...
