666 used to be my neighbors tag #!
Most of the CF HL covers I have seen, and I have a set on the shelf here, have a raised edge around them to accommodate the do nothing vent. The one I made has a flush profile- like the stock HL cover.
Twill would-should work with the hood CF.

You will need a new throttle cable. What inter cooler are you using? Because you will need new piping and a BOV. What turbo are you using? and any other upgrades to warrant using the FFIM?
RIP. He made an everlasting contribution to the automotive world.
I will never forget when my dad brought home a '64 289 Cobra, BRG w/ tan interior. What a ride, just couldn't convince him to buy it. Probably thought I'd kill myself in the car.
Sounds real good. I did look at the pics I have-car is still in the shop-long build! and the passenger side bulge-bump is noticeable, had a thought a while ago that it might be the reason for the 1/8th" short length. Anyway, would you consider making one-these in fiberglass? Not real crazy about...
Well maybe you can relive some of those days thru mine. Especially since almost everything in the build you mentored except for the shinny AZP pieces. Those are just my throw back to chrome valve covers!
Looks like a good piece. te you do have to do some work to make it functional: I bought one like Enrique's, not a bad fit, although it's about 1/8" narrow on the flush out to the stock fender.
Also made a vented HL cover from a stock one to match the vents in the Regulus Does take some work on...
Buy it you will like it! If I thought I could get it to work on the W58 in the SC 300 I would buy another. Of course I could always change to a R154 when the Lexus goes NA-T.
Laxboy36,do you play lacrosse? Just a question.
As far as your build list, there are a number of parts you might want to reconsider. Radiator and fans being one. As far as the FFIM, see if Ron R. is still making them. Crank could be knife edged, polished and nitrided. Might want to look at...
My SC300 came with a set of dual fans mounted on the stock radiator. As I remember the previous owner said they were Ford fans. They work fine with no problems. I went out to see if there was a model # but the only sticker on them said Calsonic-made in Japan. Don't really know if they are a Ford...
There is a thread on here about wiring the fans, it's been awhile since I read it, I guess you could use search. You want to run dual 30 AMP fuses for the fans.
I would definitely recommend hood pins. AeroCatch flush mounts are real nice and relatively easy to install. I have a SC300 with a Seibon CF hood and at speed before the hood pin install it was rather unnerving to watch the hood move around, now it's locked down tight-no worries. You could also...
Don't have a clue about any shop in Minn. You could always talk to someone at SupraSport or any of the members on here from Minn. Otherwise since you said the midwest, take a drive down to Chicago & Sound Performance. They do know how to tune & dyno your car. You can check out their web site on...
The engine temp sensors--2 are installed in your pic. The green connector-2 wire goes to the ECU and the single wire on the right goes to the instrument cluster.
Who ever sold this man this car should be dipped in sheep shit, feathered and hung out to dry. Of course, as Mike said, if the car overheated on the drive down the buyer should have walked away.
