Shopping around for a good aluminum 1 piece. Which brands are you guys running? Feel free to say anything negative or positive on the brand you are running. Thanks!

I got mine from shaftmasters. Great quality, I didn't even want to put it on the car bc of how nice it was haha.

I didn't like the idea of a one piece based on the whole "science" of why they're bad for our car... but I'm thinking when I do my R154 swap I'm going to get an aluminum one piece. I'm all about the weight loss. That would almost make up for the 40 pounds I'd gain with the R154 vs the W58.

I didn't realize people had been running them for so many years. I figured the people who had them either never installed them or never drove their cars.

Anyone go over 120mph with one?

That's my biggest worry.... snapping it at high speed.

I have a Dahn Automotive 3.5" Aluminum driveshaft, but I have yet to run it yet. Reason I went for it was I am planning on sapping to a 4.3 rear end and wanted the extra stability the 3.5" shaft provides at higher shaft speeds. Once I get the car reassembled ans tested, I'll let y'all know what its like!

I ran a Driveshaft Shop one for years. (It's what we used to sell at Supracentral/AAP) -- never had a problem, very smooth at high speed.

You just need to be sure that whatever you get is very well balanced.

I'm still thinking about getting one of the carbon fiber ones that Titan sells (sold?) for our cars. IIRC Ian said that critical speed on something that light shouldn't be a concern, hence the appeal.

I have a buddy that makes them. Steel. Love them. They make a noticeable difference. Don't know if I would want an alum one.

I ran one of those in this:

If it can take 1,500+ RWHP with a 2 speed powerglide launching off of a trans brake, it can take anything.

I've toyed with the idea for a while now. It's the 140 mph bursts that concern me. In regards to aluminum and steel.

Thanks for the reviews guys..keep them coming.

Anyone experience vibration with their one piece at over 110mph? Right now I'm leaning towards the shaftmaster aluminum 1 piece
