ahh fuck me your right this should be in 1jz technical, I'm half asleep I got college in the morning hopefully a mod catches it and moves it so I get some help.
mise well add this in: does the e-brake light come on if the rear brakes are low? I wasn't sure our cars had a sensor but it's been on...

First off I have a turbosmart e-boost-1 controller. I also read the above link for a guide line.
My first question is, I have an aftermarket BOV with my intercooler but would I still...
isn't 17lbs pretty much the max efficiency of a ct26 even with the best internals you can find? I would say the boss jr. 20 year old turbo technology is not the way to go for autocross. It will give you the more even powerband at the top end and be just as quick of spool if not better.
edit...
my clutch on my r154 is set to engage when I'm just about to left off with my foot, is that what you consider high? or do you mean like half foot in and it lets go?
most ball bearing turbo's are only oil cooled and their suppose to have the longest projected life. My dad switched out a water/oil cooled gt28 on his turbo sled(rx1) for a gt28 only oil cooled off a car and he's had 0 issues, he actually likes it better. He figures it's one less thing to go...
loll just goes sideways in a straightline under boost. wicked how many lbs of boost you pushing? yeah when you get slicks traction likes to break things, is it hard to find a rear-end that fits your guys' platforms?
hahaha I think this is going in my sig now :P
btw dan88t you got quite the colourful engine bay their! looks like you have over 100 hours of work into it can't be that far from done now?
If your singles are in good condition or rebuilt you don't need to upgrade turbos to make 300rwhp. I'm assuming your "BPU" already, exhaust, air intake, FMIC right? I went this route with upgraded rebuilt twins, I wouldn't say stock because their no longer ceramic and they have better comp...
If your head was machined down for the metal gasket I would not switch it out for an OEM one to keep your compression even. But if you have a blown frost plug your going to loose coolant everywhere. This is quite perticular, I would take it back to the shop that did the work and have them check...
1jz run 14's stock so I'm sure your mod's will be low 12s to start with, if you practice you will get into the 11's. For autocross you definitely will need coilovers, new bushings, suspension end links and sway bars. this will improve your handling greatly as well as lower your center of...
let's see a shot of that interior! very nice car though, extreme attention to detail. I've just been putting all my money into my motor/handling.. next is MC transmission and someday will be a nice body like yours, probably not as nice though :P extremely clean car!
if you can get a wiring harness built any jz will be easier to make higher hp numbers without major modifcation to the whole motor. with that being said it's not always easier to do a engine swap, connect up the harness, make your new downpipe fit to your old exhaust ad get it running. Although...
your rebuilt turbos have shaft play =S are they still ceramic then? I mean I'd compare to the stock ones before kybashing them bc they blow seals so easily.
thats sick, yeah I definately like the look of the zigens with the two-tone paint, but you need steelies for drag racing. What you doing for a differential now, aftermarket I take it? That's crazy fast that anti-lag must make a hell of a difference. I actually thought about a bee-r rev limiter...
