I have one more question regarding the piston at TDC protrudes out the bore just a bit, and I'm sure there's a limit, and I have still the 1.8mm of clearance from the head gasket. I just need to know that that is also not a huge deal. Here are those pictures...
Going through questions...
Hello everyone. It sure has been a while but I need your input here on the dilemma I'm facing. I just received my assembled short block from the machine shop a few days ago. Upon finally getting the motor on the engine stand, I noticed a few things regarding the head gasket surface of the...
Found out 3 out of 4 of these bad boys are stripped out. Will be doing the heli-coil thing tomorrow. I'm glad I caught it when I did though. Now hopefully the squeaking will stop!

now is that size that the holes are or what I'll need to get? I thought you had to go like one step bigger. It's been a while as you can see. Thanks for the help either way though!
My car was squeaking a lot recently, and I finally decided to throw it up on a buddy's lift and see what the hell is going on. And so I notice that my transmission mounting bracket is cocked and two of the bolts are just hanging there. There's another one stripped as well. So all in all...
What's your recommendation on replacing them? Do both wires go to the junction box or does it split off? I just don't want to cut anything without knowing what I'm cutting. Thanks!
I searched all over, but I remember seeing a few posts about upgrading the wires. I'm getting a significant amount of voltage drop from the alternator to the battery due to either loose wires or corroded wires. So, while I'm in there I would like to replace as many wires as I can. I just want...
unfortunately, I understand what you mean. But let's say if you were to make a few of them, how much would it cost to make/purchase one? I can't see them being THAT expensive to scare people away. I mean if it works, it's perfect. Period. I live in FL and I don't have a/c......and when it...
Yea I think the added fuel is overcompensating from it did have the vacuum leak. I just never changed it back, so the computer is probably always fighting it. Poor girl.
Hey man. Any reply is appreciated. Yea I am sure I would have a blast doing it too, but I just want a little more reassuring input/direction before I start going crazy over my local bridge lol. Man if this is the cause to my power loss, I am gonna be so happy. It will feel like a new car!
OK, so here is my concern. I have had my supra tuned on a dyno a while back. I have an safc 2, aem wideband, and all other supporting mods to properly be running. So, I just realized that my throttle percentage points are at the default of 10% LO and and 50% HI. Which means it was tuned at...
the wiper arm is the problem that I want to replace. The wiper arm is bent due the wiper blade construction coming apart. So if I could replace the arms from a newer vehicle and have a lot more options on blades, that would be a hell of a lot easier in the long run
I would like to upgrade to the clip on ones if possible...maybe off another toyota? Does anyone know if the all the supra wiper arms are the same screw-in type? ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!
thanks, t3d
