Ahhh I see. Idk why I didn't think of taking the compressor housing off. lol I always wondered why I saw pics with them off.
Thanks guys!
And you guys are using studs then to instead of bolts? Im planning on having the 2 top as studs and the bottom as bolts.
Ok so I had this problem with my old precision last year, and now I've run into it again.
How do you guys tighten the top right bolt on the turbo to the manifold? I have a xs power manifold.
To me it seems as if I need to pull the exhaust housing off, bolt it down, then put the rest back on...
how would you wire those into the ecu? im going to be running stinger. JW how this would all go together. These seem like a good idea from what you say
i just called eagle and he said that there is no front or back for our rods. He asked which application my rods were for and as soon as i said 7m he said "no sir there is not".
so thats cool.
No I got the eagles in my motor I bought. Last time I rebuilt it the eagle was facing the back, so I guess I'll just do it that way.
Ill call eagle today and see what they say.
ahh good idea. Ya i tried just pushing it with my thumb to move it just enough to get one end of the clip seated, but my thumb wasnt strong enough. I will certainly try that.
i hop thats it.
ok so i got the one clip in like you said IJ, but i just cant seem to get the other one in when the pin is in there. Its so tight, its almost like it wont fit. But i know it will. my fingers are so sore!! lol
ill just keep trying at it tomorrow and see what prevails.
ok ill try with an alluminum piece to work it in.
My fingers are sore right now just from trying to muster one of them in with my thumbs! lol
i wish i could use that tool on these, it would be so much easier.
so im trying to figure out how to install thse wrist pin clips in my JE pistons. They dont have the holes like the stockers to to use that tool. What do i need to use to get these in??
i made 391 rwhp at only 15 psi. These things push massive amounts of air at a lower psi. My AFRs were at 11.6 to. full boost by 4ish K. My tires kept cooking as soon as the turbo hit 10 psi. Just cooked them in 2nd and 3rd if i let them. lol
I bought a 6766 for my build this year. :D
you dont need a standalone for a turbo. i had my precision 6152 on my stock ecu for a bit, then i went to maft basic and tuned it on that. you weill be fine. tuning devices are to control the injectors/tming/knock and all that "electronic" stuff.
Great choice on turbo though, i love Precision...
