If you must fix something that isn't broken by going to a softline make sure it's braided Teflon.. cheap braided rubber will fail as noted.
Exception being the very early GTE blocks, only ever seen 1 of those though.

Original "plan" was to pick up a dead NA Mk4 but people wanted stupid $$$ for them here, the "Lexcen" is a rebadged Holden Commodore Toyota put out so they'd have a BIG car to sell here, it's a 1994 model I picked this one up running driving for $400 :)

I-6 is a long wet noodle.... You'd be surprised at how much they flex under power, after awhile they take a set so it's important to check the tunnels, I bought a brand new block and still checked it..
But if it's doing it at 3points in it's rotation it might be as you suspect, would be worth...
If the rear suspension wasn't fully loaded when the spherical bearings were tightened it could very well be them again...
Jack it up under the rear arm/hub and see if you can wiggle the rear wheel.
x2, you can use a best possible output calculation based on the fuel burnt and the AFR but it's not going to be terribly accurate, having said that there are so many variables involved you're never going to get an answer to the question as presented.
They use this to calculate Top Fuel engine...
