Rufus, didnt want to jam up your thread so im putting it here. Well my map sensor looks to have had gas pushed through it. Both cam sensors have oil pushed into the plugs. Cold side is torn apart. I should have it put back together soon. Gonna change the oil and see if it gets contaminated...
Anyone ever have black gunk leak from the map? I took my manifold off and it had two black runs all the way down. The bottom of the sensor was basically eaten away. Im guessing my fuel pressure regulator was leaking fuel to it.

Just got them back. Only a slight bump in flow after the clean. No leak, and good pattern. All 8 were good. This leads me towards full pressure regulator, map sensor, or cam positioning sensors.
You did your self a big favor. Better to start with a unmolested car. Keep a eye on Craigslist. Ive found two of my supras for under $900. Just got to wait for the right one to come along.
Did travis do your swap?
I had one on my 1jz and it worked great should work even better on a 2j. I believe it is garrett internals not a true garret turbo, but I could be wrong. Do you have a link to it?
There's a few guys on here that have begun this swap but even fewer that have completed it. Matter of fact the guy who had my car before me tried it but didnt complete it. Good luck.
What are you gonna do for a tranny?
Cold side Is disabled, injectors are in the shop, and im beautifying th engine bay. The injectors should be ready tomorrow. Hopefully it will be running on Friday.
It has a intermediate miss. I give it some gas and it will go away. Takes three long cranks till it starts. Unless I let the fuel pump run for a while before I crank. Also the oil smells like gas. Im guessing a injector is leaking.
I took it for a little ride Friday and kicked it in the pants...
