Code 51 can cause alot of problems, and you can't set timing while code 51 is present. There's a thread on the best ways to fix it by jetjock, it's stickies in the tccs section I believe
Yea it just seemed strange that when I talked about working on it he said they were electrical nightmares and that no one had ever brought him one in any decent running condition. But when it came to talking about tuning one he sounds confident.

I have those dark smoked ones all the way around (sidemarkers and blinkers) and I love em, when their off they're almost the same color as my body line, but the light shines through crystal clear(and the correct color) when they're on.

So I got time yesterday to change my tranny fluid from the RP that was in there to the redline mt90, the knock got even louder? My guess is the RP was thicker? Should this have been expected or did something else possibly break?

Speaking of gear oil, I changed whatever the PO had along with the clutch and put in royal purple gear oil, maybe that's another reason I'm hearing it so much, I heard a few ppl here had weird tranny sounds with RP gear oil....redline time

well i always said if i needed a new tranny i would get some marlin parts in it, so ill be saving for a little....should i stop driving it? or just take it easier?
