I was at the Toyota dealership the other day to get parts and managed to capture a glimpse at the computer. The parts search engine that they use is supposedly used over the internet, I tried to copy down the address. I was pretty sure it was http://dealer.toyota.com/default.aspx# but it...
I tried easy out, nothing, its stuck in there forever. I took the whole thing out, pretty easy just had to get the power steering reservoir out. I'm just gonna goto toyota tomorrow and get one, any idea how much they charge with the gasket?
Okay this is pissing me off, I've been trying to do a timing belt project and its been turning into a fix everything else project. Now I broke the head of the Bolt that holds the Water Outlet in place, and the stud is stuck inside.
I filed down the stud to be completely flush with the rest...
Ok, I got the Pulley Puller and managed to get it off with ease
But now im bugging out because I think I damaged something. I piece came off of the thing behind the pulley. Is this how it is suppose to be? or did I break it?
I just bought one from an auto parts store, it's a harmonic balancer/steering wheel Puller. The only problem is the bolts that came with it dont fit, I guess I have to goto the hardware store :/
im just gonna get a puller b/c this SOB doesnt wanna come off, where do I buy a Pulley Puller? I went to local auto parts store, all they had was a pulley pullers for small pullers. Can I get one from the dealer?
Okay i got a bit of a problem. I'm doing my timing belt, so I need to get the crank pulley off. I managed to get the crank pulley bolt off, that was easy. But the damn pulley wont come off, im confused, theres no bolt and it still seems to be on just as tight. Any ideas? I'M GOING NUTS :aigo:
I'm doing my timing belt, and I was wondering if anyone here has been successful doing the job with the radiator still in place. I checked the TSRM and it says the radiator has to be removed, just wondering if theres a way around it. There seems to be enough room to work with but I just want...

You should hear the compressor kick on while filling it.
I tried filling oil in the compressor side (Low) but I don't think any went in, i read the directions and had the a/c to the max and I have the bottle upside down while filling. How long is it suppose to take? I tried filling it for 2...
I'm an idiot when it comes to the A/C system, this is my first time ever working on it, from what I can tell the fitting thats on the compressor has been converted to R134a because it doesnt have the R12 valve stem:
There is also another fitting near the condenser, I converted it myself...
I am installing springs and according the TSRM I need to disconnect the upper control arm. I loosened it up and a long bolt (no longer than a foot long) is required to come out horizontally but hits something and wont let me take it out. Has anyone else had this problem?
Edit: heres a pic...
IDK i really hate the 4x4 ride height, what was toyota thinking? My first priority is lowering the damn thing, I think I'll just get the Eibachs, i've heard B&G is too soft.
