i found a local with a PT6076e .82 turbine 4 bolt , 59 trim ...i would have to find and adapter from 4 bolt to 3'' vband... thoughts?
took this from PTs website..
This Entry Level unit features the following:
• 59mm inducer compressor wheel
• "E" compressor cover 3.0" inlet/2.0"...
its a 1j..i think its coming off the part of the harness where the alternator, o2 sensor and another plug join.. i should of taken a better picture, it has a small bracket on it for a 10mm bolt im guessing..
The id badges are polished off so I have no clue to what it is. I want 400who but nor sure if this turbo will give me that since I don't know what it is..
it still does what it suppose to but it occasionally smokes on idle now..has some shaft play in every direction.
really trying to stay local with my options unless its a brand new turbo. budget $550..
i went to change the gasket between the turbo and the mani and the thing is small(the gasket). whole time i had the car i thought i had a t4. all of the markings on the turbo are polished off. it reaches full boost around 4-43k rpm... what would be the best t3 that i could replace this with? or...
thats how i had it setup. my WG is up under there, so it wont be until this weekend when i can put it on a lift to pull the assembly and change the spring/inspect the diaphragm. appreciate the help.
so in short...i ran the vacuum right now and your saying on the filter side withe vacuum going to the box from the fpr and IM, change this and make it filter to IM and run the fpr off IM like it was originally?
i ran the vacuum a different way now...WG side to t going to turbo and solenoid in...then solenoid out to WG top...
now i get 10psi on hi and lo....i can use the other knob and it makes a difference in how boost comes in...but i still cant more than 10 psi...
going to change the spring next...
brakes are must! dont let anyone fool you. ive heard alot of stories and yesterday i drove my car to work for the first time... didnt even realized that the breaks locked up on me on a half throttle pull over a hill...had to choose between putting the nose on the shoulder or up under a xB box at...
on greddy instructions they have the top of the wastegate going to the IM and the side of the WG going to the EBC solenoid...going to try this tomorrow.
Line from the bottom/side of Wastegate goes around the shock tower to the Freddy box.then from the box to the turbo.previous owner wrote in and out on the box so I don't think I messed that up. I have to look up directions on how to use the controller..maybe I'm using it wrong? High ans loo...
ive got 550s.. ill try go zero on lo-throttle and see how it reacts..my idle and lo throttle is fine now but ill zero it to see if the ecu figures it out...
