Ideal compression ratio for my build??

To be honest I wouldn't have used o-rings and copper if the bottom end I'm using didn't already have the receiver grooves milled into the deck. A MLS gasket would have been much simpler, but unfortunately I've gotta work with what I've got.

Ideal compression ratio for my build??

thanks mate, yer I'm a little concerned with the copper/o-ring job.. to be honest I'm only really concerned about the oil/water gallery sealing. I personally only really feel confident running close to the stock static CR.. I'm only going to be using the stock cams. And I found nothing wrong...

Ideal compression ratio for my build??

Hey guys, I'm at the point in my build where i have to order the copper head gasket.. Engine has the following, Ross pistons, Copper O-ringed block, Standalone ignition/fuel control, 57 Trim running 16-18psi.. now the stock compression ratio is 8.4:1 so i presumed i should get as...

mmmk, so it's just a custom bracket job? I'm happy to fab something up, but i couldn't see anywhere on the turbo to mount it, even with a custom bracket, do you need to weld some mounting points on the actual compressor housing? Not sure if I'm too keen to do that...

Mmmk not sure then, maybe he just has a thing against aussies lol My only real concern about getting my current ct26 high flowed, is the risk of it shitting itself 3000kms down the line... Considering it's already 20years old, and will only come with a 3 month warranty.. From what I've heard...

damn it, problem is, JTamulis doesn't ship internationally, otherwise I'd probably consider just getting my turbo from him, don't suppose you have any pictures of the new waste gate actuator you needed? edit - they have actuators for sale on HPF, here -...

thanks for the comparison pictures mate, looking at the difference in the the exhaust wheels and the fact the compressor housing doesn't protrude past the manifold flange I'm going to take a guess and say thats the Stage 5 Hifi, wondering how the waste gate actuator fit up though? Am...

thanks mate, certainly gone the whole hog with that build :) internally mine will be similar (ie. Forgies, ARP hardware, O-ringed block with copper gasket, along with all the typical extras and standalone engine control) One thing, those pictures show a 58trim ct26? I'm guessing that isn't...

awesome, would be great if you could find out whether it's the stage 3 or 5, what else have you done to the engine/driveline of your supra? I know you said you don't have any dyno sheets, but do you know how much power you are making? Thanks mate, Ash.

G'day all, I'm investigating the abilities of the bolt on Turbonetics 60-1 turbos available for the mk3 supra. These include the: CT26, 60-1 Hi Fi, Stage 5 (500hp) CT26/T4, 60-1 Hi Fi, Stage 3 (400hp) CT26/T4, 60-1, Stage 3 (400hp) as found on the HPF site here -...

Some R154 Transmission Rebuild In Progress Pictures

getting bumped once again lol, I'm about to purchase the r154 rebuild kit from MDC as one of the bearings in my gearbox is shot, in regaurds to the thrust washer, I was under the impression it was only likely to shatter in large HP applications or if the operator adopts a "Vin Dieselesque"...

    The Right Turbo

Ok but when do these sleeve bearing turbos start making positive pressure? To me, a responsive turbo setup is far more important than the ability to make 500rwhp.. I want absolutely minimal lag. MRSUPRA, 10,000 miles out of a turbo isnt really impressive, with a healthy oil and coolant suply...

    The Right Turbo

Sorry to dig this thread back up, but it saves me clutering supramania by starting a new one.. I too am at the daunting stage of selecting the right turbo for my 7m build. I have conservative goals for the time being, between 270-290rwkw using the stock injectors, standalone EMS, 3" exhaust, 3"...
