Ok correct me if im wrong... a vband is like a little protruding lip off the pipe. So say one side has a lip and the turbo had a lip (maybe???) then you use the vband clamp to lock them in place?
Thanks..... thats a better instruction manual. Ill see how much they have kits for. Whats confusing me is about the DP.... its not welded to the back of the turbo, its held together by gear clamps?! Same goes for the IC piping?
I really don't have mechanical experience. I can take stuff off and put it back on. Pretty simple simple stuff i can do. Ive been looking at some turbo kits, one off ebay and the xs kit. Maybe A diagram/instructions can help if I attempt this on my own. One thing I wouldnt want to do is the...
Im looking for 350 at the wheels but I think i should be able to handle 400 :biglaugh: I can get a ebay kit for 850 shipped all I need is a manifold so say 1050. Then get a dp welded. Or theres the XS power kit for 1399
I meant 3" dp, 3" mid, 3" x pipe, 3" where resonators are, then before the muffler use 2.5" to weld up
or just get some fleabay 3" mufflers or something
Would that really make a difference since I have 3" dp to the cat. I want to cut
off the cat then continue past the y pipe then b4 the muffler(magnaflow) use 2.5" and weld up to the muffler.
Question is, would that really make that much of difference in regards to the turbo and exhaust...
So in my case.... SAFC should be just fine since im not planning on keeping the car much longer and it wouldnt make sense to dump a extra 1500 for the box. Next project car involves 2jz :naughty:
I see.... AEM is $$$ tho.... Ill go AEM on my next project.
What would be the advantage of using EMANAGE as opposed to AFC isnt EMANAGE a step closer to standalone?
I have a stock 1jz sc300, w58, walbro, centerforce clutch, stock inj
Im planning on either going with a xs power kit. Or this other kit I found on ebay thats pretty complete. I would need to get a manifold for 1jz and a dp. Im leaning towards the ebay kit tho, cheaper, has ic piping, turbo...
Im gonna try to give myself a tuneup b4 my long haul down to atlanta for emissions. As for the 02 sensor, am I supposed to use a 91-92 7mgte o2 or can i use one of those universal 3 wire ones all over ebay. And for sparks... use 2jzgte iridums? But i dont know how to gap them :(
Ok i just drove the car 22 miles... shifted at 1800 about 85% of the time, tried to keep from boosting and the gas needle didnt move at all. So far so good... ill see how long it will take for me to burn 20 bucks of gas. I was drivin ultra conservative... id have to get use to it. But...
Its my daily driver.... its not fun putting gas in the car every day. im a poor college student... wait im graduating hahah but im still poor. Which o2 sensor to use? 7mgte 91-92?
Ill just change the o2 sensor.... start shifting at 2500. I dont have any vacuum leaks it reads -20 on the gauge. I had a leak but my friend fixed that for me. Anything else to look out for?
Well ive had the car running since may so im pretty used to it now. Not really boosting like everytime i drive it. I usually run it to about 3000rpm b4 i shift though. Maybe i should cut it down? I changed the spark plugs back in july so i dont think it should be a problem? I was thinking...
