My 88 has a full 3 inch exhaust all the way through a turbo muffler. To quiet the exhaust should I add a resonator or change the muffler? Please recommend what type of resonator or muffler you would suggest I put on.
I put together a "basket case" 88 turbo. The car now runs and looks great, but it takes a long time to start when it is cold. I think that maybe I didn't get the sensor wire hooked up correctly. I am assuming that the sensor is one of many that are located on the gooseneck which contains the...
Dear ForcedTorque,
I replied to you by email about a week ago with the message below. I suppose it didn't get back to you though. Here we go again:
Thanks for the detailed message about this guy. I sold him a set of pistons with rods and NEW rings for $49 including shipping on ebay, which...
I am having some trouble dealing with this guy: foxmoor7 is his ebay username and his email username is Turbodawg087. Has anyone had any experiences that they can share with me to help me understand where he is coming from? Thanx alot
I have everything for the head including cam caps, valves, followers and shims, springs, cams. It came off a car that had a head gasket problem. I am quite sure tht it is not warped bad at all. Injector harness is what you see in pic.
My son did the hone job himself. I think he thought that the spots would hone out. The pic shows the worst of the only two spots that are pitted in the entire engine. Any ideas on the value of the other parts I want to sell?
I have a block that has been cleaned, honed, and painted that I am planning to sell. It does have one or two spots that are slightly pitted. They are barely discernable with the fingernail. I am willing to crate it and ship it if someone can use it. I also have a rebuildable head with cams...
I am willing to try anything once. Do I have to drop k frame or is it better to raise the engine? I will definitely need some pointers so I don't do what I shouldn't and do do what I should. Don't want to be in deep do do.
I got the cluster out and the cable was not attached to it. It is attached instead to a bracket that is still in place. In an 88, is this the way to do it?
1) replace cable, attaching it to this bracket. 2) Slide cluster back in, making sure that the square end fits into the square hole?
I can't seem to get to the cable at the back of the speedo. Can't feel it or see it. maybe my hands are too big. Is it best to pull the panel out from the front in order to get to it? I have an 88 turbo
My oldest son had driven it and it had a head gasket problem. Also a possible knock. Before the problems showed up, He had the turbo somehow enlarged and put 3" exhaust on it. He disassembled it down to almost having the head off back in 1999 and gave up. He bought a motor from Japan but it...
