I think there's too many people whining about "not following the comics".

you guys need to remember that the filmmakers know what they are doing. do u really think that no one involved in the film new that juggaraut was not a mutant? of course they changed stuff. if juggy was in it from part one then they could have elaborated on the fact that he wasnt a mutant but since he was on screen for like 15 min then it wouldnt make sense to like 99 percent of the movie going public. same with the Phoenix. if they would have said, "oh by the way Jean, your power comes from an alien entity force and there will be alien shaar(sp) people coming to destroy you..." most people that arent fanboys would have been like "WTF? whered that come from?"
marvel universe has too many great characters and storylines to tell in a movie that is less then 2 hours.
there are talks of spinn offs like a Wolverine solo movie so it should stay closer to the comics because it will have time to do so.

quoted from SF.

Another point made was that there's supposedly unlimited universes in the comics.

I am fan of both comics and the movies, and I enjoyed The Last Stand immensley. I thought the suspense was great, especially not knowing what happened to Scott, and then Xavier. Phoenix was done so intensley, it was great. And for whoever missed the clip after the credits, you suck! :biglaugh:

There is going to need to be a 4th one with an ending like that!

Apearently I didn't see the end clip....but X3 Last Stand was awsomely done and couldn't be done better imho. Although jean is creepy when she does her phoenix stuff.....

I enjoyed it, it didn't follow but oh well. I still thought it was good. They did the Pheonix awesome, how she looked when she was using alot of her power was awesome, she looked so evil. When Wolverine was walking towards her and you could see his adamantium bones through his skin was also really cool.

I didn't really like how it barely had Angel in it, they should of had him more. Beast was awesome, Kelsey Grammer was such a good choice for playing him.

I stayed and watched the scene at the end of the credits :)

I wasn't directing the comment towards you, or anyone in particular. I've just seen TONS of posts (on cs.com, SF, X-Men boards, etc.) and there seems to be a lot of people complaining. I don't know WHY it's a surprise to anyone at all. It's the 3rd movie, people should have figured out it wasn't following the comics seeing the 1st one

With a title like "The Last Stand" I was really expecting some epic battles. Wolverine charging the Brotherhood's camp was badass.

The next one better have sentinels, bishop, forge, apocalypse, the return of xavier, magneto, mystique, juggernaut ...

The movies can't follow the original story, for all the reasons listed, plus more. The Marvel comic universe is full of space travel, gods, and alien races - and these are three topics that just don't fly well with the general moviegoing public. Try to put out a mainstream movie showing that virtually every god since the beginning of time is actually real and watch as the Churchgoing community pitches a fit. Marvel figured out that this was a problem years ago and has been dodging the issue rather successfully ever since.

PS: I really enjoyed the film... especially the bit: "Don't you know who I AM? I'M THE JUGGERNAUT, BITCH!!!"

I like'd it. Didn't quite do it for me like X2 did, but it was good.

Did anyone else feel like the after credits bit had a "Hello Clarice" feel to it?

They got a little kill happy for my tastes. The fact that Scott went missing and noone asked what happened for about 15 minutes seemed silly. Angel could've been better - so could've rogue. she seemed kinda pointless (much to my chagrin, anna paquin is so hot). the juggernaut bit must've been added in post production re-shoots to capitalize on the skit on the internet. while i thought the internet thing was kinda stupid, i laughed my ass off when he said it in the movie. Something about Vinnie Jones as a british Juggernaut.......lol. They made shadow cat a pretty cool character and not nearly as whiny as some of the other characters we've seen in the xmen series. The battle between pyro and iceman could've been.......well........less crappy. I managed to get lucky and heard someone saying at the end of the movie to stay.....glad i did!

oh...there WAS a sentinel in the movie......you just don't see too much of it. Wolverine decapitates it in the danger room at the beginning.
