Im going to be switching to a T4 setup and im looking to use a Master Power T70. However, i am having trouble deciding between the .68 housing or the .96 housing. Im also curious to see who else is using the T70 set up and the results you got from the turbo. Also advice as to which size to go with. Im looking to make around 550RWHP fairly easily, but have room for more power in the future. I also still want the car to be fairly streetable with good power.

well for right now i still have the 550 injectors, but will soon be upgrading those im sure. I plan on going maft-pro fairly soon as well. i have 550s, lex, wideband, safc, 255 walbro, and AFPR right now.

For just about anything over 450rwhp you need to go standalone. Cant even go MAFTPRO, Maftpro wont be very kind to you with injectors larger than 680. You would need some 780s, or 880s for the power level you want.

The Maft Pro will be fine at that power, but for more Id look into an aftermarket ecu. You dont have to run injectors that big for those hp numbers. 550s definitely wont cut it, so youll need to run something in the mid 600 range minimum, but then you have to start thinking about bigger/ dual fuel pumps and supply lines.

If it is just the .68 and .96 which would you all recommend? I still havent' heard from anyone thats actualy used this turbo on the 7m. I guess i may go with the .68 since im still looking for a streetable turbo, and since my fuel system isn't quite upgraded enough. I know i could at LEAST reach 500hp if not slightly more with my current fuel set up, i know people have gone over 500hp with my same setup. Maft-pro should be abe to easily handle 550hp as well.

my fault on the short answer i was in a hurry the .84 housing will allow you to start boosting at lower rpm (3400) than the .96 and will make that 550 easier at a lower rpm which makes u faster than the guy who does not get there until 5500 bc hes running that huge .96. The .68 will spool faster but at the same time will limit your power range because of the restrictive housing. the reason i say use the .84 is one im running it, two its that happy meduim that leaves you satsified and three you will get what your wanting out of this turbo and have room to grow.

but it all really comes down to the setup...if you can support the power the 70 cant make the power.

So are you ditching the LIPP Boss? Just want more power?

Ya, the lipp boss has been a great turbo, and i'v made great power from it. Im just looking to start improving things and gains somemore power. And have the availablity for more power once other fuel components are upgraded.

SAFC is a great piggyback, and is very capable,
but you will be limited with tuning once you start upping your fuel system.

MAFT-PRO will get the job done with a good tuner. :)

With the way your car is setup, I think the .96 housing would be more ideal.

I am too going to be running a masterpower t70. I was gonna run the .68ar because I wanted to keep it street friendly. But I didnt know they had a .84ar. I think I will look into that one.

moving to a t4 setup is a jump and takes a bit to get used to so go with the .68 to keep you happy. On a proper setup you will see full boost on pump at about 4100rpm. I put down 420rwhp on 18psi for about a year on that setup. Get a good wastegate, intercooler and one walbro pump no knock offs and you will be happy. Above 18 get another pump and use race gas

^^^oh and karma is right also but the .84 is a custom setup and you will like the 68 better unless you are rich and power hungry like he is lol:biglaugh:
