When video game console makers (Microsoft specifically) come out with an even better console than the one previously introduced (XBOX 360 Premium), and it looks better then the previous model.

The console i am bitching about it called the XBOX 360 Elite.

It's obvious that they made this console to compete with the PS3, color, HD, and HDMI capabilities...but who gives a shit! im going to get myself a black controller!!! But, it still pisses me off that they would come out with this console right after i bought my xbox...

I say, they should exchange my xbox with the Elite for a charge of $75, because thats total bullshit that they would do that.

SON OF A FUCKING BITCH! they have better give me something in return because it cost as much as the fucking premium package, if not less. Those fucking bastards, im going to call them tomorrow and ask them about this because thats total bullshit, they should upgrade me or something. MOTHERFUCKERS!

How do you think I felt when I built myself an amazing 32 bit PC and 2 weeks later. 64 bit machines were so cheap, my brother who is 7 could afford one.

Get used to it, thats how life works.

I know, but they release this fucking info so late! i would have turned around and just returned mine...im going to call them tomorrow and talk to someone about the technical things to see if they are totally identical. it better be otherwise im going to be a MAD customer.

Okay - well, everyone who knows games consoles knows that theres always a refresh of the hardware 12 to 18 months down the line - and yes, they did it with the PS2 as well. Remember when it used to have firewire ports on? The original PS2 has a separate Emotion Engine and Graphics Synthesiser chip - the later refresh models used the EE+GS single chip solution. The drives were changed as well because people were having too many errors with discs.

This refresh of the Xbox360 is nothing different - it still plays the same games, still connects to xbox live, you haven't 'wasted' your money at all, seeing as you can still play HD content from your original 360, just you dont have the convenience of the HDMI cable. And the colour? Well you do know you can change the plastics with different covers, right? It's NOT going to be shipping with an HD-DVD drive built in, so it's got NOTHING new other than a new port and a change of colour. Hardly something to bitch about!

The CPU is changed for one thats made on a smaller process as well iirc, making it cheaper to manufacture and runs cooler, so again - they're doing nothing that hasnt already been done by Sony.

Yep like kai said, you're just the victim of a typical process cycle. They had no idea when you bought your system, and then said oh lets release a better one to piss him off, Microsoft doesn't care. This system was needed to take care of several issues with the original hardware as well as add some additional features. Nothing new and every manufacture does it. Also, the information that Microsoft was coming out with this has been out there in the form of pretty reliable rumors since December, even with pictures. Don't get pissed if you didn't do enough reading and research before you bought.
