I'm pretty sure the dp will reach. The one I worked on had a cat welded on to the cat-back I think, but it fit no problem.
What diameter is it stock?JustAnotherVictim said:No. Definately not. Have you considered using a different mechanic?

yeah, i dunno about this guy. he also wanted me to go with tokico struts and tanabe springs and use the tems as opposed to tein flex coilvers...He says that the tein flex arent electronic and are only adjustable from outside the car...
jarco are the ones who sent me to him and they say they recommend him to a lot of their customers.
Meh, my car and the clip are already at his shop. Other than not knowing much about a few aftermarket parts, I think he knows his stuff about the swap. He said he and his fellow mechanics there have done many many 1jz swaps.rakkasan said:I think the stock 1jz exhaust is 2". The Y-pipe is the huge restriction....
Sounds like an idiot to me. I'd use the money that you're going to give to him on a good set of tools....
masterchief819 said:I woulda done the swap myself but I'm a fulltime bio major and am about as mechanically inclined as a twinkie...
I would check up on him every once in a while if I wasnt 3.5 hours away from him lol. I guess he's never swapped out y-pipes for any of his customers cause he didnt seem to know much about them...JustAnotherVictim said:haha
You don't need a degree to do it but I suppose you don't have the time.
I'd check up on him every once in while just to make sure he's doing it right.
Tell him to hold the y-pipes side by side and tell you they are the same diameter.
rakkasan said:LOL, then that makes you a smart man....masterchief819 said:I woulda done the swap myself but I'm a fulltime bio major and am about as mechanically inclined as a twinkie...

rakkasan said:I'm guessing that you're running the stock Y-pipe since you're selling your aftermarket Y-pipe, no?
you bought that from 935? The pic thats up on his site of the ypipe looks a bit different/better:suprastanger507mgte said:Here is the combo and this is how it comes :

hmm now that i look at them side by side, maybe it's the different angle of the pictures that make them look so different...
