Just from what I read, I suggest you find $230 somehow, I'm not sure if that's within your limits, but try what you can, just to get the car back asap before it racks up to a higher amount.

The second thing I remember reading was that your contract said you were required 24-hour notice. If so then you need to take that up with management and let them know you require a reimbursement for the fees and if not, then visit the police station and explain it to them. The basics of it is the tow truck company cannot remove a vehicle from private property unless the complex authorizes it, and if the 24-hour notice is required by them then they cannot authorize it.

Of course be aware that when you get the car back the tags are gonna have to be updated, work something out with the complex and let them know when you will be updating it, i.e. Friday, Next weekend, This wednesday, I don't know what your schedule is like and what day you will be free to do it.

This is my advice, good luck, don't let your supra go for an insignificant amount, if you love supras like many of us on the forum do, you will definitely regret it.

fixed.

but your basicly right a PPI account is just an agreement with the owner of the property that if any cars are spotted parked on it that do not belong or are illegal they have the right to tow and impound.

I HATE shit like this.

It seems like nobody cares about being civil, being reasonable and being a good person.

My apartment is fucking crazy with parking. I pay 40/month to park in a shitty lot with vandals and they tow every last poor soul they can. There are plenty of open spaces, yet when MY friends come to visit ME, they have to park in an off-property lot literally 1/2 mile away. It makes no sense AT ALL.

Parking enforcement in general just pisses me off...

yes, if the complex has an previous agreement w/the tow company as stated above they can tow the vehicle w/o the complex signing for it at that point. i would still go talk to management seeing as how ur contract does state they are required to give u 24 hr notice and they didn't. they broke the terms they set in said contract. also i noticed u mentioned that u very recently bought the vehicle in question...i would think this fact might play in ur favor too. get the car out and get the issue w/the tags taken care of right away. the tow company might even require that u show proof of current registration before they release the car to u...i have heard of this being the case before. check it out.
