I am not saying what you are saying is completely wrong, but what I am saying in regards to this video, for 1. We have no clue at what speed he was traveling, and the same thing can EASILY occur by too much breaking power. The thing is, and I posted a video of the exact same thing, yes, I was speeding, excessive for the speed zone, no. I was NOT paying attention to the roadway. That is what got me in trouble in my video.

Just because the car was loud does not mean he was speeding, I would hope you know this, the simple fact is, similar things have happened to grandma and grandpa on wet roads without any indication of speeding. Simply put, everyone feels they have to blame someone, and in reality, everyone at one point or another is to blame, and you, Supracentral can not honestly say you have not done something stupid in your life that would easily allow others to form judgment on someone who participated in the same event.

So quick to judge others and to forget the past when you too have done similar things to cause "our" generation to suffer... My insurance is so high because statistics show males in my age bracket are reckless... well you once were that statistic...

Not in any means trying to show disrespect, I just like to at least get my point across. I by no means feel the guy in that car (with the way it is labeled) deserves any type of "good driving" badge, but in my case, which is the same event, just on an empty road with 3 lanes, was caused by stupidity but the same stupidity that all of us have had at one point or another, a camera just happened to have been filming.

i think you have it all mixed up. people are not talking about you, you were clearly on a road where there were no cars, were debating on the fact that the integra was driven at an excessive speed in which the tiny 2500lb chassis could not handle. it is true that the past generations have set the statistics for our insurance rates, but its the dumb kids that drive to fast on large streets in which are filled with pedestrians that are just casually commuting from work and home. it sucks when it impacts on the smart kids that dont screw around on large streets and risking innocent lives.

its hard to see, his speed gage is kind of blurred, but his RPM was clearly around 5000. ??

I am not saying they are talking about me, either way, what I am saying is, the same thing happened to me, not at the same speeds, but similar event, I laughed about it and walked away, I am just saying, I take what Supracentral said personally because I also have done the same thing, there for I am just stating my argument

As I stated in my argument, I have no sympathy for that driver in that video particularly, but... what Supracentral was saying, anyone in any situation such as the one stated (and mine is like the one mentioned) is a moron, atleast how I read it. I am not "upset" nor "aggravated" by what he said, honestly, calm thoughts over here, just throwing my 2 cents out there :-D

everyone smile

Anyone driving at excessive speeds like that, especially in a front wheel drive econobox, with that much traffic around them is a moron.

If you do drive that fast in heavy traffic, take it personally, because in my opinion you are a moron.

If you don't then let it go, because it's not directed at you.

how the hell do you lose the back end in a FWD car? I know, he must've pulled the e-brake lever to impress his friend! :3d_frown:
Where did you get that from? I have lost the rear end in a FWD car before, its entirely possible.

if you press the brakes, the weight of your car will travel forward due to the attempt to stop, this will take weight off the rear of the car, causing it to lose traction, this combined with attempting to turn will cause the rear end to continue to move forward, as it has no traction to pull it through the turn, and thus cause the cars rear end to kick out... very easy, and what happened in my video

A) Not a good driver - a good driver drives as befits the circumstances at hand. This idiot did not do so.

B) Put him on an enclosed track, and he's still not a good driver. He panicked when he lost control in the first place, and did not have a good understanding of what was happening.

C) What this driver is, is LUCKY.

how's this then? I've alway lost the front end, never the back

Road work left a 2" lip on part of the road that my drivers rear tire hit, add in a little moisture (oil or water) and some braking around a turn. If I hadn't been used to driving the supra I would have ended up in the side of a bridge. I hate that CT is constantly doing road work, making the roads worse.
