I come from a land down under
Gotta agree with Grim on Mountain Biking!

Very low impact so you're not destroying joints (unless you crash your brains out) and gives a good all over workout!

I used to ride minimum 300 Km's a week (25 km each night then 100 km per day on the weekends on top of 120 minutes on a stationary at Gym 5 days a week) I had a few female riding partners and they always looked in awesome shape!

Ditto on our bodies usually just use the stored fat from where ever it feels like and not from a specific area you're trying to target but usually in women the first place to go is the Breasts :( (Man I HATE human physiology sometimes) ;)

exactly, I have to do the same thing, lol. I've been hovering at the 132-137 mark since I had my last baby and I hate it. Would love to get back down to 115. :icon_conf

I'm still on phase 1 of my "feeling better" program, lol
which is eating/drinking better...no more sodas or fried fast food crap.
I've felt a lot better, and have lost a few pounds.

strip aerobics? wow never heard of that but sounds interesting :naughty:

I know that's what I was thinking... But I need to be able to do it in a room with the door locked because I'm sure I'll look quite foolish doing it and I don't want people laughing at me.

I've been trying to run more, but being a swimmer I'm very ANTI running as I lack coorination on land.

My problem with swimming is that with the pool's schedule I've only been able to squeeze in about 45 min a day in the pool which might not seem too bad, but when you used to putting in at least 4 hours a day swimming or lifting weights you don't feel like your getting anywhere fast. And I've got 2 years of abosolutely no physical activity to make up for.

I guess losing weight might not have been the best term, I'd rather lose inches. But it is a nice feeling seeing those numbers on the scale going down.

And I just want something fun to do. All I have time for anymore is hw and swimming alone isn't nearly as fun with a team. :(

just go outside and do random things in the heat, thats what I do, and it's working pretty damn good..... in the past.... 6-7 weeks I've lost 14 lbs...... well, there was that and not drinking pop nearly as much, I'm sure the two go hand-in-hand.... (the 2 being weight-loss and no pop....)

500 pounds.

Actually... right now I'm about 5 pounds over what I weighed when I swam, but I'd really like to lose at least 6...

But it's not really about losing weight (but that is a bonus :biglaugh: ). I just want to have fun and be healthier. I'm tired of being out of breath from walking up stairs. And I totally need a fun activity to do when school is sucking.

I can't!!!!!

Number wise I'd like to lose 20 pounds because I don't like the number I see, but I'd settle for 6 right now.

I don't know.. my sister in law used to be quite obese. She lost like 150 pounds by dieting and walking like 6 miles everyday. My little brother was 350lbs and got down to 220. He did it with diet, a personal trainer, and he also had a problem with sleep apnea, for which he wore a mask hooked up to a machine of some type in his sleep.

Good to see people taking their lives by the reins instead of being lazy and "settling" for what they are. It's good to love who you are and be proud of yourself, but you at least need to maintain health and mobility, you know?

Ya but losing 150 pounds is different then losing 5-10. If you know what I mean. Ya, if I was 100 or more pounds off of what I wanted to be I'm sure I wouldn't have any problems losing the weight by changing my lifestyle. But I'd like to consider myself far from obese and I'd like to say I eat healthy (especially lately) and I exercise, but I just can't put in the time I used to.

guh....

I'd put money saying you're just like my GF...... She swears she's a 5'3 1/4" heffer, tipping the scales at a "hefty" 117 lbs..... I mean, ya'll seen the pics....

Are you a coffee drinker? Im pretty sure that crapp makes you retain water which should add atleast a few pounds onto your weight.

I really don't see what the big flippin deal is about weight. Sure it's deffinitely more of an issue for females, cuz they're supposed to be soooo skinny and beautiful.... :icon_conf But honestly, who wants a chick that you feel you'd have to worry about crushing, or breaking in half? Hell I'm just shy of 220, I wanna say like, 13-15% body fat... lol.... but anyway, as long as you havent got dunlap's disease, you're fine.... Damn I talk too much..... I know.

No, I don't drink coffee... don't like the taste and I can't have caffine.

And yes, you're gf is in no way big. I guess some of you have seen pictures of me as well... but, I still think I could be in better shape.

Meggs, from the pic or two I've seen of you, you do like quite nice. If you want to work on yourself, more power to you. It's not about what other people want - it's about what YOU want. My wife wants me to keep a little chub in my belly - but I DON'T! I don't feel quite comfortable like this. I want my camo pants to fit me better without buying a larger size, too.

learn to play tennis. play sports as well like basketball or volly ball. The beach we once had I would job up and down sometimes in the heavy sand areas. I was fighting at the grand casino but it got blown away and I probably won't get to train as hard for sometime.. Also drink some lemon flavored water. Eat 5-6 small meals a day(healthy ones) and cut your dinner time to 5:30-6pm and nothing after that. If you absolutley have to eat. Eat veggies a small portion or drink the lemon flavored water.
Theres alot you can do. Also eat a half of grape fruit in the morning or drink grapefruit juice one day and orange juice the next and switch ur days up.
