Why should we give you credit? You told us the grounds were checked at least twice and then you post now that they were connected to the block!

The NA system uses the AFM to actuate the fuel pump circuit opening relay. The Turbo uses the FC output of the ECU. Are you certain that things like that wire up correctly when you switch from one ECU to the other? These are connections to the body wiring, which I'm pretty sure you did not swap out.

Hey!!! None of that talk in here. Take a breather and then reapproach. I know you're frustrated but don't be so quick to throw in the towel.

yea im reapproaching it again tomorrow morning. my bother came by to give me a hand w/ the starter. it cranks fine now. i redid the ground on the intake mani, and cleaned off the plugs. there was some gas in the cylinders im guessing from the shitty gas not igniting, so i cranked it for a couple seconds w/ all the plugs out and a towel over it to get all the gas out. i didnt want to try to start it in case of any renegade gas particles igniting and blowing me and my car to smithereens!

so tomorrow i have to finish painting a bumper for this POS caliber for my dads company then i can work on the supra again. the plugs are goin back in and im doin an oil change in case of any gas that leaked in the oil, past the rings. then im gonna try firing it up again. im hoping it will start and the problem the whole time was just the bad gas.... keep your fingers crossed!!!

i finally broke down and bought a timing light, looks like my plug wires or coil pack are bad, the light is very intermittent... it does not blink at a steady pace when cranking it. ill see if i can try diff coil packs and wires.

yea i know, i've noticed the timing light is still intermittent sometimes. and the coil and wires i swapped w/, i cant confirm if they are good. im thinkin about goin to toyota tomorrow to order a set of spark plug wires. unless of course anyone else can think of something that might be making it fire intermittently.

oh and this morning i set the timing to about 8* BTDC

just a FYI, but the code 11 went away. not sure why.

also not sure if i mentioned this before but theres what sounds like a hissing noise coming from around the FPR on the fuel rail. if its getting fuel but not the right amount this could cause it to not start... right?

also everytime it cranks it doesnt sound like its trying to start.... just cranking.

Did you check for compression? ( all cylinders?)

Air - Should be getting it....

Fuel - Sounds like it is wetting the plugs

Spark - Are you getting a good spark with the plug wire pulled off the Ign module? (have your buddy hold on to check)

Compression - If you don't have a compression gauge, remove all spark plugs, stuff a wad of paper towel into the spark plug hole.( use common sense here, make sure you don't stick it all theway into the combustion chamber.) bump the motor. All paper towel plugs should pop out like a champaigne cork.

If you are getting all four, then it sounds lke there is a timing problem...

Isn't there a big arse engine fuse under the hood? Check that too....

ill go check compressions on all 6 cylinders right now...
also i forgot to mention that when i turn the key on the boost gauge goes all the way up and stays there till i turn the key off. i dont have the turbo press. sensor hooked up.

Only my morbid curiosity compells me at this point.

EDIT: Nevermind

well i believe i found my problem and i kick myself in the ass.
finally did a compression test on all 6 cylinders, keep in mind this engine was never run after the rebuild only cranked.

only thing i can think of is that the machinist didnt surface the block and timing cover together. engine is coming out again tomorrow.
