the wires farthest to the south connect to the Housing of the thermostat... (i think)mine are like that too...
the wires that are cut.. i couldnt tell you.. i could try and look in the morning and see what i can come up with.

wow that sucks...... is one the coolant temp sensor ?? the other one not the one with the clip still on it.....
i vote buy another complete harness..... its expensive but less painful....
