Wingless is the way to go! Although with a post 89, I'd leave the three piece alone. :)

I agree with your comment, I'd never valet my own car. I did valet for the time first ever though a couple days ago before I went on a cruise to the Bahamas. Even with a rental car, I didn't like the idea lol. And yeah it's a great job for college students, what's the most you ever brought home in one night?

I'm going single piece wing on my 88. Like how it looks any year. Hopefully doing a 89+ body upgrade

Lol.
Sorry, but two posts ago, you say" Smell something, and it seems to be overheating."
Next post is- "Hey everybody- I'm going 1JZ!" LMAO!!! I wonder what happened...

ANYWAY, Good looking car, and good luck with the swap.

Lol it wasn't quite like that, the headgasket let go albeit very mildly and I've been limping it around town since, hence why I'm going 1JZ. Thank you and thank you, I'm gonna need it!

I've been saving for another one since September since I got screwed by an ex member on here and lost $500!!! It hasn't even hit me yet lol. I'll be shipping it through my work too so I don't have to worry about all that stuff

Well here is the actual motor. It's from an old soarer I believe that was an automatic. It hasn't been cleaned much since it left Japan and its still veryy clean. Harness is uncut too :)

Pics or it didn't happen right? Here are some Aaron sent me from the shop last week :)

Can't wait to get it!

A day went by...

Talked to Aaron at Driftmotion and got my motor ready to be shipped out :) I'm shipping it from their shop to Performance Plus Global Logistics in St. Charles for a little over $200 with insurance. Good deal, if anyone needs freight I can point you to them. They do great work.

Anywho here it is with everything including map sensor, ecu, and ignitor all wrapped up ready to be shipped out. I can't wait to have it in person, it gets shipped tomorrow!

I can't believe this is actually happening....I'm living the dream :)

Since I need to get all my swap parts still and the motor is going to be here I think I'm going to go ahead and polish the turbo inlets, valve covers, and intake manifold. This is a 1JZ in a 240sx but its what id like my setup to look like. I believe I got the picture from this site actually..

I already have a polished radiator and IC piping so it should flow well.

I also want to change up some stuff up in the interior, is like to get a new wheel and hub but I need all my money for the swap. I will probably put my blitz turbo timer that digitally reads boost in bar and measures peak boost on top of my steering column. Then I will put the protect b in a place a little more discreet ;) Then above the radio where the turbo timer is now I would put my AEM wideband and vdo somewhat time specific and stock looking vdo boost gauge there. Keep it clean and simple, I don't think I've seen a setup quite like it yet.

Here are most of the parts sitting in my apartment for the swap haha

I still have some little stuff at my gfs still. Checkout my Wtb parts thread in the JZ parts wanted section!!! Need almost everything still

Welcome to the dark side. Hopefully your, stock turbos are still good and you get a solid motor. Are you going to do,any maintenance on the motor before the swap?

That's good. I don't know what gave me the idea that you were using a shop. I will be down in the STL next week maybe I will see ya.

No worries. I thought it funny as there are no shops in the QC that I would trust my car with. Rev-Hard and Illinois Dyno Center aren't my cup of tea.

I will be in the QC Wednesday through Saturday morning, PM me if you want my contact info

I'm going to check for leaks and do a comp test however aside from changing oil, plugs, etc probably not. I will check the turbos and clean it up best I can. I'm gonna pull the pans too.
