Green Bay here. My Supra is nothing special--it has some rust, a missing trim piece on the passenger side door, and it is in DESPERATE need of a paint job! BUT, it's a Supra! And if I knew how to post pics of it, I totally would...as long as I wouldn't get laughed off the forum...

I'm going to Chi2k10.

The reason why it's not at GLD is because Byron is super lax about tech inspection and shit. Like damn near all of the cars that show up would be able to race. Have a 10 second car with no roll cage? No problem.

At GLD, you run a 10 on your first pass and have no cage? They tell you to GTFO! lol

WIR in Kaukauna is the same way--you have to have a roll cage, parachute, everything or they kick you out after your first pass. Lame.

I doubt that applies to any of us anyways. Most people didn't show or didn't even race. The two years I went I think there were two or 3 that fast that either had the cage or broke on the line and didn't make a pass anyways.
Where is everybody staying?
Some shit came up and I'm really short on cash, don't want to waste $100 a night on some cheesy hotel if I can help it. Id like to go tho.

Motel 6 in Schiller Park. It's right by O'Hare airport, literally right off of 294. Rates starting at 45-50 per night.

I only put 22-25th to see what the rates would be.


I suggested the Schiller Park location because it's pretty much right near everything (except for the drag day at Byron). It's probably 20-30 minutes from every event (D&B, SP, Elmhurst Toyota). I say probably because I'm not familiar with the streets and how long it takes to get around in the city. I'm up by the stateline haha

Where up in Green Bay? Im originally from Depere and currently live in Appleton. I come through all the time. We should meet up. I just put my car back together after going with 83.5 mm Probe pistons, Cometic 1.67mm MHG, Clevite bearings, and a Driftmotion 57 trim turbo. Already have 100 miles on it and its been running great.

Regarding the job issue I can only recommend hard work to get where you want to go in life. I guess I am pretty fortunate since I am done with school and work as a design engineer but I did work in a factory environment while still in school. Summers are warm, but sweat is good.

Supraofdoom, do you still have the CF cowl? I am interested in it and may swing out in the next couple weeks for it.

Hrm, looks like my reply didn't get posted...

The Motel 6 in Schiller Park (by O'Hare) is right off of 294, and is probably about 20 minute drive to any of the events. It starts at like $45/night if you book online, if you choose to stay down in that area. It's probably 10-15 minutes from SP, 20-30 from D&B, Byron is like an hour regardless because it's out by Rockford... but you'll be right by the portion of the tollway that'll take you straight out to Rockford... and Elmhurst is probably 20 minutes. Which all in all isn't bad considering you'd be paying half/night compared to the $100 hotel haha

I live in West De Pere, actually, right near the Ashwaubenon Industrial Park. I work in Kimberly now. My white 88 just went to Supra heaven, but I'm looking to buy another one in two weeks or so. I'm so sad my car didn't work out, but can't wait to find a new one :(

The car I want is on here for sale and is in ohio. I'm originally from there so I know that cars there are typically rust-free. Believe it or not, southern Ohio doesn't see much snow. The white one we just got we bought from a guy in Madison and it has it's fair share of rust. poor thing :(

I want another MKIII so bad, I'm willing to go on one hell of a road trip if I have to. I'm not kidding lol

I was looking at a some what recent thread on him and saw that he was perhaps posting under Specialty Auto Greenbay@gmail.com, when I googled it, and came to the site to see your and your boyfriends cars listed. I think a lot of people are looking for him for owed money or other things. Do you know if he works there?
