I come from a land down under
I have to ask would the differences be noticeable or even measurable?

I see these threads with people obsessing over the most minute of differences and trying to save grams on components but even when I worked for a pro race team no one behaved like this.......

Get a grip guys it's a ROAD car......

True IJ, if my cheap ic has 1 psi of pressure drop more then the one that costs $500 more, I just turn my boost controller up 1/32 of a turn and I spend the $500 on nice tires or a wideband a/f meter or something else that is actually worth the money. If someone has a show car that has absolutely everything else totally dialed and money is no object then I could see spending the extra money on a $600 intercooler.

$1000 for a HKS Type S [their smaller IC!!!] or $200-$300 and what Aaron described as another 1/32" movement on your wastegate controller. That extra $800 isn't justified for vehicle specific mounting tabs.

Yep maybe .001% of Mk3 owners might come close to maxxing out even the cheapest IC on the market (taking into account it's sized correctly I said cheapest not stupidest)

I'll bow out now before people think I'm being argumentative for the sake of it.
