I'm pretty sure most of us are looking for an easy replacement that improves cooling. Something that will allow us to drop it in easily and use the stock fans. Well that's me anyways. Wacky waving inflatable flailing arm tube man!!

Yes, the fan shroud MUST be able to bolt directly one with no problems.

Is this radiator going to be for a 5speed or Auto? There is a difference.

Will it be compatbile with a 1JZ? They get shafted on rad. choices anyways.

I would take a Koyo (isn't that the larger one? A little smaller than the PWR?) to them for developement purposes so they can come up with the correct end tanks and have a good idea for the dimensions.

A good quality core is a must, hopefully a two row core with about 18 fins per inch at the least.

Two row it would be at least. I'll drop the fan shroud issue on them although does the Koyo or PWR allow the fan shroud? Screw it! YOu should use electric fans anyways! :3d_frown:
I believe the Koyo is the smallest out of the "big 3" w/ a 52mm core right? The PWR is 57mm and i think Fluidyne was 54 or 56mm.
I really wouldnt see why it wouldn't work w/ a 1J. I'm going 2J and I'll be able to you use it. The inlets & outlets would be same locations as the 7M. So if they dont line up for 1 or 2J use some insight. Christ almighty your doing a friggin engine swap, i think routing some rad pipe is the least of the worries. I'm going to make sure the stock mounting lines up. And if you can use the stock fan w/ the others, you'll be able to w/ this one.
5speed or auto i'll also ask. Maybe there'll be one for each, or 1 for both. Whats the diff, the tranny cooler? Thats all. Ok now off to drop another list off w/ Mishimoto.
Does 22 fins sound better?

The tranny cooler is the difference between the two, yes.

The other thing with the 1JZ compatibility is still having the use of the hydro fan setup ;). Only one aftermarket rad. out there offers this right now that I know of.

Too much to go wrong with an e-fan setup.

E-fans are for FWD cars that can't have a mech fan.

If Toyota thought an e-fan was better/more RELIABLE, the Supra would have had one ;).

The whole point of this is for something good at a good affordable price.. Not something cheap that will require spending more money that will equal the other products in the end. Your better off just buying the other one in the end with gurrantee proven performance already..

I hope its a direct bolt on of everything (shroud and everything) without problems. If so I am in but dam 3-4 months is a long time because you know it will take an another 2-3 months to make enough... I have 2-3 months to get my car done and I hate having to buy a stockie to wait........

Last week I bought a mishimoto for a 240sx 2jz swap. You would be surprised at how good a quality these radiators are. I didn't have a Koyo to directly compare it to, but on the Honda forums, they are identical to the name brand ones.

The 240sx one is 2 inches thick. It almost fits the supra The only thing needed to change to fit the supra is the two mounting pins at the bottom. They are about 1.5 inches too far to the passenger side. Also the top mounting brackets were not in the correct location. Otherwise, it fits.

For $207 shipped, you just can't beat the price. If you guys are interested, I can post pictures of the 240sx one before I install it this weekend.
