my map is pretty much just a modified base/start up map. I cant even get the damn car to start or idle.

How was it modified? Can you post up the map along with what you have changed (ie ran the speed density macro), what sensors you have and how they are wired (ie to what pins)?

how about something with the ignitor?

Look..

Just for the hell of it, go to setup/sensors/camcrank/advancedpickups and click the first option. Check "crank sync skip" and try that

Ok i have new problems...after rewiring my harness.
Problems im having are the TPS isnt working correctly...dunno why, it just reads at 100% all the time and i cant calibrate it.
It doesnt want to idle and its really rough around 1k-2k...might be a timing issue or a spark issue or a combination of the two.
I still havent wired up the IAT sensor yet, was trying to get the car to idle first.
if you missed it heres the video of the car...trying to get it to idle...

alright i finally got the TPS working correctly, it wasnt grounded right. I still cant get it to idle, its having a tough time cranking over, i've set the timing and replaced the spark plugs.
It seems its getting flooded with fuel for some reason, wideband is reading below 10 (afr). Also i havent wired in the IAT sensor yet but i dun think that could be the problem.

Any ideas????

below 10 afr means it is EXTREMLY RICH! You should be seeing black smoke out the pipe if the wideband is showing that much! And it should also reak of raw fuel.

You are getting flooded. I would decrease startup enrichments a TON and see what happens.

How big are you injectors?
Base fuel pressure?
IAT can be set to default to a specific temp if need be.

ok so i remembered when i had the SAFC2/VPC combo that because i didnt have ISC and CSI i had to pull a good amount of fuel, i think 10 or 15 clicks negative before i could get the car to idle...until it warmed up, then i added some back. So how do i compare that to the table on the AEM ?

Base fuel is around 35psi
injectors are 550's

I will be trying to fix a big exhaust leak tomorrow, and then afterwards i will try to lean out the start up

Alright again today frustration...couldnt get the car to stay on, wideband still showing really rich but im not seeing any white smoke, im getting grayish, i would say white but im sure its not coolant+oil mix, smoke. What i tried to do was going to the fuel table and follow the ecu. Took out fuel and car just smoked even more.
One problem that i did see was that the Engine load was at ~31PSIg ??? So im thinking there may be something up with the MAP sensor...
Also i cant get the afr readings to match those of the UEGO. The coolant temp is at 80 degrees F when its def not. ummm what else...i think thats all the problems that i can remember..heh, car is def. getting me a headache.

Go through all of your sensor wizards and make sure the ems is set for the sensors you have in the engine. Make sure that sensors you are not using are shut off. Beyond that make sure that sensors you added ie Map and Iat are wired correctly. Always start with the start up map for the box you are using and modify from there. As far as your wideband goes make sure you have the gain set correctly. Even though you go through the set up wizard on the wideband you still have to set the gain to match.
Mine is set at around 65 on the VE chart at idle or 2.27 on the injector pulse width chart and my base fuel psi is 36. This is with 1000 cc injectors. If you watch your wideband on the car and you are idling at 10 to 1 and you want to idle at 13 to 1 you would subtract 30% of the fuel you are running. 10 x 1.3(30%) = 13 on the AEM you would go to percent change and put in a value of 70. This would take 2.27 to 1.60 or close to it, thus removing 30%. This will get you in the ball park. My car is happy idling at 11.5 to 12 to 1. At 13 to 1 it surges.
One of the biggest issues you will run into on the MKIII AEM is the ignition. The AEM does not seem to like the multiplexing ignitor of the stock MKIII. I recently changed to a 3 channel ignitor from a 95 3000 GT with a plug and play harness I built using the connectors off the MKIII ignitor and a 3000 GT ignition harness. If it works okay this upgrade will have cost me 25.00 (new would have been around 90.00) which beats the heck out of the 900.00 M&W ignitors that I was recommended trying.
I will keep you posted.

thanks for the advice sean.
Ok so i went over the wiring for the map sensor and in the max voltage i put in 4.96 which was wat the plug (signal) was putting out. It went down to -4 PSI with the car off? so im not sure whats up with that. Better then max 31PSI i'd say.
Also i wanna make sure i have the injectors wired in correctly so heres a list of how i have them:
1. Yellow and White
2. Black and white/red
3. Red and White
4. Yellow and white/blue
5. red and white
6. black and white/red

If a couple are out of order could that cause the flooding? also im pretty sure polarity doesnt matter but i want to make sure.
