Zum - What happened to CSF?

I called CSF. Discontinued.

They told me to call stillen.

Stillen told me to call a rad shop.

Rad Shop told me to call a rad shop.

Only person i didn't contact is Rob @ 935.

If he has them then he should have said so in my thread....lol


I'd still go with mishi. They have a No Questions Asked Warranty.

A bud has the CSF Race.

It's certainly a nice rad. It looks to be Cadmium Plated?

As far as cooling efficiency of stock vs. a few of other rads.

In my opinion the 52MM is a HUGE upgrade over the stock rad.

I'll do it mathematically for you.

fluidyne works great in tx heat! Love mine! if i had to replace it out of my own packet id get what jdub runs or a pwr

I have a PWR and love it. Fitment is fine and I've never had an issue with it. I don't have experience with other aftermarkets so I don't know how it compares.

the pwr is slightly bigger according to the measurements ive seen. If jdub is backing the one he mentioned id heavily consider it as well.

Which radiators allow the stock fan and shroud to properly fit with no customization? I know the "older" Mishimoto radiators were too large to fit the shroud, but someone mentioned they updated their design. Did they allow fitment of the shroud in the updated design? Also where can you buy a Mishimoto and be sure you get the new design instead of the old one? What exactly did they change, i saw that the upper mounts used the stock brackets, in the picture someone posted.

Actually almost all of us in DFW, HOT ASS TX run the Koyo! I know of 15
MK3's that run them in TX. I've run 350 miles on a hot TX day averaging 85 with many 120+ pulls and never over heated. As well as making several back to back drag runs on a hot TX Day. The PWR is the thickest by just a bit. But you have to ask yourself, are you going to have over 600rwhp and doing non stop racing and only drive in stop and go traffic? Look at alot of the big MK4 guys with 1k rwhp and they run a good stock fan, shroud and radiator.

My stock one blew up, but I drive a lot in traffic in this hot weather and race my car at the track regularly, that's why I went with the Koyo!

I have the Koyo aluminum radiator. I bought it because I was able to get in on the group buy and I knew I'd be moving to Arizona. My only complaint at this point is the lower bolt hole for the condenser fans doesn't line up.

So technically PWR is the best? I was planning on getting a Fluidyne in the future just to be on the safe side but now I think I might get a PWR.

I like the koyo, as i got it for the great group buy price and it adds some nice bling to the engine bay with out sacrificing performance.My koyo fits perfectly with the stock shroud too bad the shroud broke

How important is fin density? My old Koyo rad had a very high density/number of fins. The new Koyo I just bought looks to have about half the number of fins.

I would love to know also, because I just ordered one from HPF because it says "direct oem replacement" on suprasport (it also says it fits on a 93), but I'm starting to wonder if the fitment doesn't include the shroud, since michimoto also sells an aluminum shroud for the rad that only works for electrics.

I run the Mishi albeit it took me 2 as the first one came damaged it is a nice piece. I am pretty sure the stock shroud will fit yet I made a custom one so my IC piping would fit with the thick radiator. Never seen the temp climb past mid way and I drive my car pretty hard in the heat and humidity. I would recommend it, o also the rad cap touchs the stock hood heat mat!

CSF makes some nice radiators, they do some for the nascar teams.
